So I've noticed a pattern in PVP
I play a lot of PVP and it always seems to start pretty well but then as the night goes by, it deteriorates. I'm curious to see what the first 3 to 5 games that you play feel like. It's not so much wins and losses but pure feel. To me the right after the 5 game mark, my kd goes down by like .5. I don't know if it's matchmaking, Bungie puts you in a larger pool or whatever. I really just want to see if anyone else feels the same way.

The games gotta keep you close to a 50% win rate. Notice games where you can pop off and even get we rans and still lose but other games you can go 0-20 and still somehow mercy the enemy team lol.

1 ReplyI feel the same. I think there is way more cheating than before also. Players sliding around corners, jumping all over the place hitting all headshots from across maps or rooms. I mean when you sprint and slide around a corner and instantly get 2 tapped by some player 40m away I find it ridiculous when players on here say it’s no big deal and not cheating. Some of these players have really suspect kd’s. Or have extremely low kd’s and end the game with 10 kills and 6+kd than everyone else. It’s getting far more common now.

You are 100% correct. Here is how it goes: First 1 or 2 matches are unplayable, laggy, out of sync. Then comes the good stretch where you are able to move fast, the enemies take damage, you go on a nice win streak. If you play long enough it will start to get laggier and laggier. Feels like you are wearing concrete shoes, enemies move faster, they don't take damage, etc. etc. Always been that way.

No one really knows how their skill ratings are calculated and how fluid they are, but I guess it is entirely feasible that after a run of wins or good performances, your skill rating could move up enough for you to be matched into games where more is expected of you?

a few patterns that I notice (call them superstitions if you will): A: 1st match is usually horrific B: I don't log in and go straight to crucible anymore... always tower or somewhere else 1st... joining into PVP immediately sets you on a bad track C: Like you say... as you cross a certain time... its not good D: I bring 9 other kinetic slot and energy slot weapons as I like to try my whole vault out and switch weapons every match but some will just straight up be ineffective (some are dismantle) but some are like I know this is a good roll and its just not working (no hit register... not a seasonal approved weapon by bungie)... so there have been matches that I've had to switch up to 4 times to find something that will do damage as I'm trying to not hurt my side too much for my testing fun. I like double-primary but have been having fun with fusion/shotgun occasionally now > cartesian :) E: emoting buff > can be a positive emote with team or instead of t-bag > all good > bungie likey F: as an offshoot of D all seasonal weapons do better usually (but that makes the whole game extremely boring... we all have Mos god rolls of every kind.... feels great ok... but what about the rest of the arsenal in F'n vault?) ....I see I will list the whole alphabet eventually so I'll stop here... ...yep will probably be in there today
