I swear the decision to skip this """""EXPANSION""""" has never been easier lol gg bungo

They’re trying to sell the “quality of life” side of the update as one of the major selling points. I agree, the decision to not purchase this DLC has never been easier. Don’t let these content creators and die hard fan boys try to tell you otherwise. This will absolutely be one of the worst updates to this franchise. First time ever I’ve been ok with not purchasing an expansion. I used to take few days off work for these things.

2 RepliesIt feels like the heart of this game is being ripped out. Next Tuesday, all of my triple 100 builds will become 💩 and I am not sure I even want to logon to see that. 😥

Edited by sideswipe: 7/12/2025 2:25:27 PMBut, but, WE GET A NEW RAID! … 🙄… The very part of this game that is played THE LEAST!! It’s an absolute slap in the face the to average/ slightly above average player (the larger player base!). All they care about is their stupid ‘Raid Race’ and their -blam!--shill content creators. this dlc is nothing but a POLISHED TURD!

3 RepliesAnd we are losing Iron Banner.

Edited by NerdslayerNo1: 7/13/2025 5:20:19 AMas a person who came to destiny for pvp from cod multiplayer some people never understood why i wasn't interested in many of the dlcs or seasons when they lacked any pvp refreshes, new weapons, etc. They were like it's a great dlc or it's a great season and i was like nah, Forsaken was great and made pvp fun for me at least. But lots with no pvp stuff i honestly just skipped. In fact it's a big reason, along with sunsetting, that i often passed on post Forsaken DLCs. edit: it's also why i always maintained that I preferred Destiny under Activision simply because activision expected what amounted to 3 new pvp maps, (and three strikes) for every expansion and it also was coming with a refresh to the vendors. Remember D1, every expansion had new guns and three new pvp maps. For a pvp player that was better than the abandonment we got for years.

10 RepliesNot a word about pvp which is not a good sign ! You would think having the nine as part of the story going forward there would be new content for pvp ….obviously Sony are not interested in the pvp side of destiny . Big shame as there still a lot of people who play pvp religiously! On a side note…I’m curious how anyone can play over 30 games of control in current state 🤷🏼♂️

1 ReplyHelldivers 2 gets a new Warbond next week. Thank you Bungie for making the decision for me. For how to spend my limited free time. Yeah I’ll be playing HD2.

Uh no…

2 RepliesMaybe they're hoping that the hardcore pvp players will move to marathon.
-
I'm definitely expecting pvp next season to be way worse than it is now

PvP and Gambit are effectively abandonware...

38 RepliesThere are changes to Crucible, including an entirely new PvP playlist setup, new events, and modes with modifiers. There are no new strikes because the developers are focusing on solo players with the introduction of Solo Ops. Instead of adding one or two new strikes, they’ve introduced five to ten Solo Ops, which fall somewhere between a strike and a Lost Sector in terms of scale. A core activity focused at solo players has been requested for a long time now. It’s hardly a bad thing that this expansion breaks from the formula.

4 RepliesThis should have been a season ATP for like 15-20 bucks lol.
-
5 RepliesPsn membership cancelled and I didn’t even look into the new DLC. PvP has been unplayable for a long time. Every mode in crucible is a sweat fest except trials. I hate waiting for Friday just to have fun games in trials which 3v3 is not my style I’m more of a slayer/kill streak player.

Can you imagine the imbalances PvP will have at the outset, given the changes? Also what about matchmaking and server stability issues? What about the non stop cheating in all modes and across all platforms? No mention so far from my point of view. Anyone else got any news?
