Please try restarting the game and clearing the download cache to resolve the issue:

If you're on Steam, you can clear the cache by going to Steam>Settings>Downloads>Clear Download Cache.

Thanks for the reply, here's a little compilation if what I'm talking about. Kind of underwhelming to do puzzles to open sealed chests and all I get is "+340" lol.

Its exp, look at your exp bar each time you open it - you're getting 2x the number shown. They stopped the resources from dropping because they wanted to remove planetary materials as part of them reducing currencies and they were basically redundant anyways.

But why am I opening chests only to find a small amount of XP, and some of the chests don't give anything at all. As for the materials, I was only collecting them because I'm looking for the small rice cakes and I got a few from there. I rarely ever collect anything anymore.

Edited by viiTactiiCZz: 5/21/2025 11:55:37 PMThe chests in destinations patrols have basically been left as a remnant, getting just exp means you were going to be getting a blue and/or some glimmer (but likely were at the cap). Blues are auto dismantled once you're past the soft cap (there are some exceptions like campaign missions etc). The chests used to also drop resource materials but were removed during the planetary material change. They are pretty much a pointless thing now unless you feel like RNGing them for a legendary drop you'll rarely ever get.

They should probably change that or remove them because it's extremely disappointing lol. Takes away from the looting aspect all together.
