You could play Marathon, where movement is on a cooldown Run for 5 feet and have to stop to take a breather

    • Well/shatter skate are the most fun thing in the game! Fairly easy to do especially shatter skate which requires you to press 4 buttons/keys in a rapid succession. Well stake is no different except you need your well super charged. Plenty of YouTube guides how to do them and you should try it. It takes I little bit of practice. Asking for this to be removed is weird just because you can’t or don’t want to learn. The game is already bad and not fun. If you like the game don’t beg for fun mechanics to be removed!

          • How dare Bungie implement a skill gap. Shame on them. We should boycott.

          • I completely agree—Bungie should remove all movement tech like Well skating, Shatter skating, Sparrow flying, and Slipstreaming. These mechanics create an uneven playing field, especially in a game that emphasizes balance and accessibility. When only a select group of players can perform advanced movement tricks, it creates a divide between casual and skilled players, leading to frustration and alienation. I’ve tried to replicate some of these techniques myself after seeing others zoom past in patrol or dungeons, and it's both discouraging and immersion-breaking when you can’t keep up just because you haven’t mastered an unintended mechanic. Destiny should be about skill with the tools provided—not exploiting glitches to gain speed or mobility advantages.

            • Absolutely agree. If a movement technique isn’t accessible to the average player without hours of practice or unintuitive inputs, it creates an unfair gap. Destiny is supposed to be about power fantasy and fun, not feeling left behind because you can’t exploit obscure tech. If something gives a clear mobility advantage and only a small group of players can use it effectively, it probably shouldn’t be in the game at all. Bungie should either officially support these movement styles and make them consistent for everyone, or remove them entirely to keep things fair. Watching someone sparrow fly across the map while you're stuck on foot just doesn’t feel great.
