The community
I've played Destiny since D1. I definitely know I'm not the best gamer . It is so sad how rude n cruel a lot of people are now on D2.
I already know I'm terrible at pvp; but I try considering issues I have to deal with. I play competitive and trials at times, hoping to get some of the possibly top-tier weapons, etc . I do feel bad for those who get stuck with me and the frustration they may feel at times.
At the end of the day ; it is what it is.
We all at times need to remember that we never know what someone may be going through and / or challenges in this thing called life.

1 ReplyThanks for all the input . I don't know why I let it get to me yesterday. But, it did. I do agree there are more good people in the community. I just delete the messages I get from those talking trash. But I haven't figured out how to delete text/messages from in-game chat. So , now I have changed up settings in game chat to clan chat.

There are more kind players than toxic ones. Unfortunately you got to play with s*itty ones. If you don't want to deal with bad text chat just turn it off.

Top players don’t go into the casual playlist and tone it down so never feel bad for going into competitive and not being very good. I suck and have zero guilt about it. Some are lucky and get matched against me, others simply have to adapt to playing with a boat anchor.

Just disable voice and text chat and do your thing guardian, it may not be great (just like me) but put on your sassiest armour and shaders and enjoy being completely unaware of all the hate & toxicity. 🕺

2 RepliesSome people just take the game way too seriously. Win or lose as long as you're having fun, then don't worry about what others think of how you play or anything. I've seen too many posts and had too many matches with people who took the game so seriously that they feel the need to either call people out on the forums or message them in the game. I do find it funny when those same people doing all that are the ones doing the worst on the team but still act like everyone else is the issue.

Every gaming community I’m in always thinks they are the most toxic or more unfriendly but whenever there is competition involving loss, these people will always exist. You can’t prevent and nine times out of 10, it’s only toxicity in the moment and isn’t a good measure of how that person always is.

1 ReplyIt started slowly being like this ever since the game became free to play. We got some good people , but also lots of bad apples. Used to enjoy raiding before , but i’m tired of people blaming others when a glitch happens , people doing their job poorly then having their teammates bend over backwards to compensate for them, tired of getting kicked because people can’t read a death recap board properly. And it’s probably the same With endgame pvp. Main reason why I haven’t set foot in a single trial match in 8 years. It’s not your fault. Side note : I think you can type /clear in your text chat to remove all previous texts . Doesn’t remove them from your memory but that’s a start.
