I was able to get mine to complete. I had to stand in a very weird spot and the “place” button came up even though I had previously placed it. The quest completed for me.

Thanks, I will give it a try and see if I can find that sweet spot. I have posted this 3 times and not heard anything.

The sweet spot is the corner to the right of the case that they want you to display it in, in case anyone else encounters this bug. The option to display it should appear in that corner, even if you have already displayed it. That should complete the quest.
