Destiny 1 doesn't belong in this mess, and most content this developer brought over to this mess they did a half backed job that explains why it's a mess.

As someone who was a hard D1 player and as someone who just started playing D2 for the first time 2 months ago, this kind of take could only be by someone who probably needs to stop playing In on this sub pretty regularly and you guys seem to hold D1 to this magical sovereignty that can’t be touched, while shitting all over D2 like it’s hot garbage. Yo take it from me, a person who did everything anyone could ever dream of doing in D1. Someone who soloed every raid you could in D1. Someone who had hundreds of raid clears, and every exotic the game had to offer. I had over 4K hours in D1 Take it from me. D2 destroys D1 in every way imaginable. It makes D1 truly truly look outdated and underdeveloped (which was already an issue with D1). D2 is everything D1 set out to be, and then some. Is D2 perfect? No, but it’s damn amazing. You just seem to have played too much and now you have a distaste for the game. Maybe take a break? D2 really isn’t that awful at all. It’s actually extremely amazing. I know it’s had a rough history, but as someone who didn’t experience that rough history, the game is in an amazing place right now (for the most part)

You clearly loved D1, how come you waited 8+ years to play it's sequel? With all do respect, saying to people they might need to stop playing might not be the greatest of idea. You've only been playing D2 for 2 months while others have been playing since D2 replaced D1 in some cases, so they might be able to see the flaws better than you, since for you, it's all bran new. D1 was an amazing and fun game and yes not perfect, D2 brought some major changes, good and bad, but to say it destroys D1 in every way, might be a little bold, but everybody has the right to their opinion, even when they can only say that D2 is a mess, which it was at some points during it's 8+ years of dev.

Now if you actually looked at the overall with both games that have there good and bad things about them I would have kept on reading. Just the loot system in Destiny 1 was designed a hell of a lot better. It was rewarding for the time spent playing. I can not say that about Destiny 2 because the loot system floods gamers with way to much garbage. The duplicates are out of control, The RNG is a lot worse when trying to collect certain loot, and the padded playtime in this game running activities for the loot among other things is stupidly way overdone. Don't lie bud, it's not a good look. And to think I only pointing out the loot system on how bad it actually is in Destiny 2.

I agree that adding old raids from D1 and D2 (didn't realise that leviathan raid is not there), is good for the game. Another way for people to enjoy content that some migh have never experienced and for those who did experienced it to revisit that content. It's just fun to take a break from the current content. I had a blast redoing vault of glass a couple weeks ago and tomorrow at the reset, it will be crota's end. Can't wait.

Wow, that was a hard choice for this developer there huh bud? The funny thing is that you have this little smirk going on but are oblivious to what actually took place when they brought all that content to Destiny 2.

Secondly, so what if old content was added back into the game? This HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. For example, The Moon was readded into Destiny 2 with Shadowkeep, you can still go to the old places there. You now have The Cosmodrome for the entrance to Grasp of Avarice. And don't even get me started on weapon models. Destiny has ALWAYS been recycled content since it was originally released. Thirdly, it's not that hard to copy a line of code from one game to another and fit it into the game. Both games use the same engine so the games code is already written. All you have to do, is copy a line of code into the "new" game and if you want to add onto it, just modify the code and fit all the renders and whatever else in. Lastly, if old content wasn't added into the game, the game wouldn't have a lot of variety, and you'd basically be playing the standard Destiny 2 strikes without the Titan ones because Titan was completely removed from the game.
