1st The loot
The amount of IB engrams was good.
Unfortunately 20,000 glimmer for each focusing is way to much.
Fix - Needs to be lowered by at least 50%.
Speaking of focusing I focused Multimach -NO LIE- 100 times and still didn't get the basic roll I wanted of attrition orbs with kinetic trimmer. Not 1 with that combo. 2,000,000 credits Not 1.
Fix - IB vendor needs to work like the reg vendors when resetting your rank. Guns offer multi perks in a colom.
The Pinnacle drops
Mostly was primary slot weapons across all characters.
All primaries except 2 secondary and 1 Titan mark...LoL
Fix - Maybe look at the coding here.
2nd - Tribute game mode
It's a good game mode for Comp.
I think it's to complex for a lot of casual PvP players
IB is casual since y'all disabled light level. More people will hop in for the Pinnacle drops.
A lot of my games had the bottom 3 players bank NOTHING. It's frustrating playing game after game when you know at least half your team isn't playing to win or maybe doesn't even know how to win.
Fix - Maybe just stick to more simple game modes for this event.
Also we could add a new event like the Gold Banner... With power level active and more complex objectives. So we can have a 6v6 Comp. like mode as well.
Thanks for reading!
Let me know if y'all had the same results.
Also do y'all think the gun rolls are waited. I got a lot of the same rolls and don't think that's just RNG. There are a few perks I almost never saw.
Info on me . I'm a average skill PvP player that likes PvP but likes PVE a little more. Played D1 and D2 a lot. Mostly love the game as a whole.

I'm a bit confused, you said Tribute is too complex of a mode for casual players (I disagree, seasoned players ignore the objective just the same) but want Bungie to add another event with more complex objectives?

Iron banner should only drop the iron banner items. Every piece of armor and weapons ever created should be in the pool

1 ReplyDidn’t enjoy at all, was hoping for some genuinely nice new armour and new weapons with a new look

Expensive to focus but I played through most of it. I’m just happy it unlocked max pinnacle drops for me. Getting points was quite painful in week 2

Good thoughts. I think I can shed some light on the pinnacle drops though. A while back, armor and weapon drops for IB were weighed the same. This caused an issue when the number of armor sets in the pool increased to overtake the amount of weapons active in the loot pool. To make things worse, like now you needed to get a copy of a weapon before you could begin focusing it. With the drop rates, this basically made it so that you needed to grind rep before you could focus the new stuff. When everyone complained, Bungie adjusted most of the drop rates from IB including Pinnacles and after-match rewards to heavily favor weapons. Now look at the current weapon drop loot pool for IB. 6 kinetics and 2 energy weapons. These have a higher drop rate with no heavy weapons in the pool.

I also have Frenzy + Under-Over & Attrition.. haven't tested that but do agree the KT+Attrition is excellent. I think they can't add the perks in IB because too few perks actually.. but some kind of compromise would be good.. where "something" triggers another perk because their RNG engine is... ridiculous sometimes.. probably has caused users to leave the game even. While I really disliked Tribute earlier in the week.. I ended up grinding end of week and learning to have fun in its gameplay. Some players are just against the objective modes.. but still I found it balanced out and did have some good matches.. PVP has a tough ramp-up in general Still, Iron Banner could be its own thing.. its own identity.. I feel like they could really take it further but know chances of that are slim. -
Edited by EMUracing: 7/17/2024 3:08:15 PMI agree on most of the post, and the fixes. Tribute in theory can be fun, however, I feel that it takes a bit too much out of your hands as a player. There were games where I felt that I was slaying out, and grabbing a good amount of crests to bank, then would die in transition as the banks relocated or while banking. It was improved from the first time that Tribute was here, with wall hacks after getting 5 crests and faster bank swaps... but I think its still not there yet. My biggest gripe though, is that you cannot reload near a bank even without holding crests. I think that I played 3 games of Tribute last week, compared to 20 games of control. I would have played more control if it wasnt during a Mayhem week (I played over 80 Mayhem matches in that same week). Tribute requires much more team coordination, and almost requires roles and loadouts to help those roles like Gambit Prime. You need reapers and collectors, where the reapers goal is to kill while the collectors relay the crests to the banks. If playing solo, any you focus too much on crests, then you will get slayed, if focusing too much on killing, then you dont bank enough crests. It almost gets to a point where you just give up on crests until the hunt bank appears, then kill the enemy just before they bank and bank those crests to swing the game. Overall, if I am playing solo, I am not playing Tribute. I didnt find it fun, I would much rather just play supremacy, or control. The whole running to a bank after collecting motes just takes me out of the game.
