It’s easier to use a mouse than a controller, hence why controllers get aim assist

We have: Mouse and Keyboard = Precise controls, high gun accuracy on range by default, little to no recoil/flinch, little amount of aim assistance (because AA is intrinsical to Destiny 2 gun behavior) Controller = Not so precise controlls, low gun accuracy on range by default, high aim assistance, high recoil/flinch Controller has 1 upside compared to 3 downsides, meanwhile a mouse has only upsides with 0 downsides. Sounds "fair" to me /s

This is major cope. The only reason you’re not getting the benefit of controller is because you’re playing controller on a PC which won’t give you the benefits. Playing controller on a console is easy mode.
Playing controller on a console is easy mode.
Maybe because (and just because) controllers are among controllers, in their own environment without better input competition?

Why do you think controller and m and k are separate?
