Not asking for exotic class item drop rate buffs...

Just one or two extra sources of such. Like a rank reward or for cashing in a bunch of engrams at once (10 or so). No one wants to run the same mission over and over, especially when we already have to do it 3 times total to unlock the farm on each character, and Overgrowth gets just as tedious after a while.

  • This is a serious thing. Farming so long on my titan, because i want one specific roll, but it just doesn’t drop. I don’t say they should make each drop an unique one, but at least make sure that each third drop or something should be an unique one. That it will still take the unlucky person 150 tries or so, but you will know that you progress slowly. This variation of RNG is just so depliting. I still need to start on my hunter for exotic class item, but i just want my titan roll first.

  • I actually do think the drop rate needs turned up. The amount of combinations, duplicates, and how many you're going to delete (vs keep) makes the current system unacceptable. I probably have more time to waste than others running circles around the Landing, but there's no excuse for designing a system in which you ask your players to spend their free time running in circles collecting chests rather than actually playing the game and progessing other aspects. They need to drop from more activities and drop at a higher rate from world chests. With each being a 1 in 64 of what you want, and the slow rate at which you tug on the handle of the slot machine, they also need to be craftable. This is all really obvious stuff. I'm tired of this elementary time wasting BS they cook up all the time and pretend later that they had no idea. I've collected like 40 or 50 of them and only 1 is one of the combos I wanted. I've got 12 or so in the vault that are usable but not great, and the rest are in the trash. It's a crap system designed by people who don't care about the people who buy their product.

    I saw a post somewhere with the idea of treating the Exotic Class Items similar to the Aeon Cult Exotics. They could make each "Spirit" a rare drop like Catalysts that activate when equipped in slot. They could assign specific Spirt to each slot right and left. Make Equipping a Spirit to the Enhancement Shards/Prisms, Ascendent Shards and glimmer to prevent quick swapping.

    Make it craftable. Only after you completed DD and have "unlocked" the exotic class perk. Crafting tho...make it costs a lot in materials Say 1 or 2 Cyphers, 3 golf balls per perk, and 250k glimmer or something. Non enhancable too. Or better yet, include 10 of each the light and dark vessels since they are about useless after unlocking the frags. I'm content on running pale heart, I don't do the macro, but I do loot about 10 chests every 5 or 10 minutes per run. My vault is full of exotic class items....just can't gwt some the combos I want..... 🤣🤣

  • I think its kinda excessive given how useless most combinations are, takes about 8 minutes to acquire one for me on average. I was collecting them all with the Impasse/Overgrowth loop.... Then I realized wait, I have every useful combo that exists. 100% should be craftable, no reason to grind for 58 bad options.

  • The class item needs a rework. The amount of vault space needed to hold the items is too much. I've never needed to have any class items in the vault before, and now there are 64 unique rolls for each character... It needs to go to mods that unlock and can be swapped once unlocked. And once unlocked, drops from possibility of dropping on future class items (but can be swapped to on any class item like Aeons). Drop rates then can stay as they are, because we no longer would need to get 300+ rng drops to get the rolls...

      • Yeah, honestly, I quit going for extra rolls altogether after getting roughly 30 (but not the 1 I wanted most) and getting countless duplicates. No way am I speed running opening chests in the pale heart anymore. What an unbelievably poorly designed thing by Bungie. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to at least focus exotic engrams at rahool for the class item.

      • There needs to be away to deal with dupes though. I've gotten 86 hunter class items which 47 are not dupes. 37 dupes is alot in ny opinion.
