Here's the video. Gunpowder gamble is definitely not counting towards ignition kills, but I did find that Ignitions from Supers using Ember of Combustion does work.

Cutting the video now, but an update: Super Kills with Ember of Combustion do count towards the Pathfinder task, but the Gunpowder Gamble grenade does not.
