Nathan Fillion killed it.

I mean…. It’s Nathan Fillion. He pretty much always knocks it out of the park with every project he’s apart of. But still, this was his best performance as Cayde-6 in my opinion — and possibly his best VA performance ever, next to Buck. There’s so many more subtleties, nuances, and even minor inflections he did this time around that really make the character leap off the screen as the quirky gunslinger we all know and love. He hit all the emotional beats square in the jaw, and still found a way to make me laugh throughout the campaign.

    • I came back to play final shape(didn't play during lightfall year) just because they brought Cayde back. And the fact they got nathan fillion to voice him again was just perfect. When bungie ended him in forsaken, the game never felt the same again since that expansion.

    • I pretty much caved and per-ordered almost solely on the fact Cayde was back to lead in finishing the saga with us. And I am so not disappointed! It was, except for only a couple of missions, Cayde that ran with us in both D1 and D2 and when Ikora, Savala and/or others were with us so was Cayde. And he always had the best lines and best feats. Who could possibly forget and not love his chicken decoy at the end of the Red War??? The one and only major complaint, well other then the Pale Heart is pretty much a solo destination, is where was the convo and banter between Cayde and Eris?!?!?!? Remember all the fun between the two of them in D1 and I was not just hoping but 100% expecting that in FS. But other then the absence of Eris it was a fantastic ending to a 10 year journey!

      • I actually agree with this. I found myself thinking the same. I think this is one of the best jobs acting he's done even though it's not exactly good dialogue.

      • I enjoyed the fact that they actually took into account what class you were and had different lines for it.

        • Yeah it was nice to have him send off Cayde in a proper way. Id easily choose his voice for my ghost if it was an option.

Zavala was great loved how much effort the new actor gave, but I still miss em. The Original Zavala’s voice hit different and where it needed to. Love em both but miss my original Hero. Like Sensei Toriyama, HEROES don’t Die They Transcend!!!

          • Is just me that's curious to see how many replies are along the line of "Who's Buck?" But yea - Bungie did the right thing with bringing him back to give Cayde a proper send-off. And he did a hell of a job The only sad part is that I would have loved to at least had one more round of banter between him and Eris
