The amount of people who don't understand this point is annoying. So im going to re-post my reply to someone else. Hopefully it helps everyone get why this is a loss. I probably take bright dust to seriously.
-Witch queen gave us 12,500 with the season pass per season. So 50,000 a year
-Lightfall lowered that to 10,500 with the pass per season. 42,000 for the year.
-In the Final Shape episodes they increased the amount of bright dust to 14,000 per season with the season pass which keeps it at 42,000 per year. The "extra" bright dust in the season only serves to keep us even with lightfall due to the shift from quarterly seasons to triannual episodes.
You could previously earn about 4,600 bright dust per character per season with the vendor challenges. So that would be a little over 56,000 per year. Im not familiar with the full pathfinder system but let's assume that pathfinder will continue to allow us to earn a similar amount. If not then we end up losing bright dust there as well.
Either way we still end up losing a massive amount of bright dust. I would easily complete around a hundred bright dust bounties a week. So an extra 1,000 bright dust per week. Or around 52,000 a year. Thats just gone now...
