I would have preferred they just guaranteed the shield breakage on the first shot by increasing the damage to shields slightly, but their planned update to guaranteeing an ignition upon breaking any shield sounds pretty sweet.

it needs some other buffs and a more defined role imo. It's one of the weakest special weapons in the game currently, let alone exotic special weapon. As I said, it may be a bit much to entirely rework DFG, but I think it needs more forgiveness and simultaneously much more reward. Allowing it to make ignitions when you break a matching shield is cool and all, but it doesn't address many of the problems the weapon has
