No. It was reminding people that there are real-world constraints, and they can’t snap their fingers and instantly make things better. 1. They are allocating their resources to parts of the game that are more popular (and generate revenue). The PVP parts of this game are NEVER going to be anything more than they are right now. Because that part of the game is a money pit. Between not being able to charge for new content…and how much it costs to keep churning the sandbox and suppressing cheaters. 2. The pipeline is loaded months in advance. So making major changes is like trying to turn an aircraft carrier. It takes a lot of time and space to do it. 3. There is a major reveal stream coming up, and he wasn’t going to undermine that by covering topics that are going to be discussed there.

  • Pvp players arent asking for pvp to be the center of attention for things that have never been. Pvp players knows what it can be because it has been really good before and is really good currently when people arent abusing the meta. Its just the pain points in pvp seem so simple to fix compared to how well theyve changed things in the past. Theyve been responsive before about shitty pvp metas but the current one has had a thorn in its side since season of plunder and theyve even admitted the titan meta is far the better than other classes.

  • Pvp players have a legitimate gripe with Bungie. I believe that they “quiet quit” on pvp four years ago, and just continue to string you guys along with the bare minimum of support. SOTG is the closest they’ve come to being transparent that pvp just isn’t a priority anymore. Smh.

I agree bungie gave up on pvp a long time ago always said it's a pve game with a splash pvp but in total most veterans have put upta 300/ 500 dollars if not more into the game ,I think it's somewhere in the numbers of 710 dollars in total of dlc and passes bought seperate so ignoring any part of the game at that price range should have alot of loyal players annoyed tbh

  • They already gotten their moneys worth. I think that is part of the problem. People keep trying to relate to the game as if they’ve bought a fixed product. When they are purchasing a service. Now I believe the pvp service is not up to industry standard….but I think it’s fair as Bungie has not directly monetized pvp now for almost 5 years.

  • You know you make 3 very good points. Perhaps i was too harsh. I think a way they could do the same thing without needing to do more is divide up the mid-season updates since its all currently ready just scheduled. Things like the exotic tuning to be drip fed in every other week updates leading up to the mid season update. Each following week addressing feedback on the change from the previous week with slight changes to push the new burst of users of the exotic to play it one way or the other or even showcases of cool builds people have posted of it when a change really hits well the first time. Then come mid-season update any changes are finalized from community feedback on the changes. This way, it puts more of a show that they are working with the community and a feel of constant updates by simply spreading out a bulk update before the mid season update. With the last half of the season where they allow the meta to settle with more control.
