Anymore? Bruh, it's never had a direction. First it's too grindy. Then it's too casual. Now it's too hardcore. Then it's SBMM. Then it's CBMM. Then back to SBMM. First Trials is pinnacle endgame. Now it lets everyone in. First Bungie claim they want everyone to be able to play with their friends. Now you have to invest $100 a year to do that. First story didn't matter. Then it did. Now it doesn't again. Let's do a content vault. Ok now we are done with that. They have literally never had a direction for this game and they just change their mind depending on who they think is playing it the most at any given time. For as good as Destiny has been at its best -- which is not much -- it will have always fallen short of being what it should have been in the long run.

  • Don’t forget how when they “change vision” it seems to coincide with popular trends. MMO RPGs are popular: suddenly D2,is now an MMO Comp Shooters are popular: Here’s the D2 Y1 system Elden Ring is popular: let’s up all difficulty in the game because of it. This is just so common to see. Destiny can never have it’s own identity because not only is it just following trends in order to stay relevant, but they literally never let it ever be it’s own thing.
