I think the numbers tell the story regardless of everyone’s opinion. So far it’s improved things for most players that are lower and mid tier but you have to see where it is at the end of this season to have enough data to show weather it’s an improvement.

Agreed. I’m willing to give it a shot for the next two seasons but by LF… that’d be enough time, I think, to show if SB works or not. In fairness, if Bungie sees an uptick in player population for games that aren’t control, it’ll be strange. Since those aren’t SBMM, they may consider reverting it if it’s sought after more. Who knows.

Yeah and there’s no way to keep everyone completely happy. What they do has to be in the best interest of the entire population and the future of PVP. My guess is they will continue to tinker with it and improve it.

It’s an improvement. The issue is: Who is it N improvement FOR… All the complaints are coming from one end of the skill curve, and they largely revolve around having to play other players at that same end. While ignoring that CBMM forced everyone to have to play those same players, while not having the ability to be competitive.

Agreed and I think the way to solve that is maybe make it CBMM once a month like they offer solo once a month for Trials for the low to mid tier players who don’t use a fireteam. It’s a causal mode and shouldn’t have 6 stacks of high end players beating on every level and mid tier players. Streamers made videos about the control stomps and how it either force them to change it back. I don’t think there’s a way to make everyone completely happy and either way they have to do what’s best for the future of PVP.

There isn’t a way to make both happy, and I think Bungie has already doing what’s best. Slowly adding SBMM to each part of the game.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 9/7/2022 5:54:57 PMAgreed and it’s the same with Trials. It’s end game PVP so even though some players want adept weapons easier to obtain, I think they should be earned by getting to the lighthouse.
