Raids drop on Saturdays because tons more people have Saturdays off than Fridays. Tuesday isn't a part of this conversation, why mention it?
-
Sounds like a personal problem
-
Yeah it is. That's why WE are complaining. YOU don't have to. What, are we gunna sit back and think "ah this ruins my entire team's plans but hey at least I'm happy a minority of others aren't affected thank God!"? No. That's unrealistic.
-
Well truth be told we don’t live in a perfect world, we don’t get what we want all the time. You do the best you can in the situation you are put in. Like I honestly don’t understand what is difficult about it. They are doing a weekday so they can closely monitor everything. I’d rather it be on a weekday if it avoids vow weekend.
-
Or they could come in on a Saturday for monitoring like how many people work weekends. I'm sure more people will miss it now than ever before . But I guess time will tell
-
So they should work a Saturday so you can do what you want? That doesn't sound very fair.
-
The BUSINESS that is running a LIVE server shouldn't refuse to work on a weekend. I mean the numbers are going to show that this is a bad idea, so if nothing else it hurts them here as much as us. I'd be willing to bet that they have a decrease of 50% or so compared to the other day 1s
-
The BUSINESS should dictate how it does things not you.
-
The BUSINESS has gotten lazy. That's why the game is in such a bad state. Sadly bungies attitude is that they need to work less and not more. I get trying to make things easier on themselves, like having a team there to deal with problems. But wouldn't it be easier as a whole for the majority of players to continue doing day 1s on a day where (for exactly bungies reasoning - which is my point) most people don't work saturday
-
You're literally asking them to work a 48 hour week instead of a 40 hour week my guy. You're being entitled, they're not being lazy. I'm done with this conversation.
-
Bro I have to work 50+ hours regularly. They can schedule a team to have Monday off and still only do a 40 hour week. That's how schedules work, I would know, I make them. It's not entitlement, it's common sense to not screw over everyone else just because it's easy. The easy route is almost never the better one. As a manager, I cover extra shifts for my staff, and the good ones work WITH me to ensure customer satisfaction everyday of the year. We are only closed 2 days a year. So yeah, I have expectations on work ethic.
-
I balance college and a manager job my man. And I would never light my people on fire for a small portion of angry customers. A significant portion of players do not raid, and a significant portion of raiders do not do day 1. Whether you like it or not, asking bungie employees to change their schedule like that is asking the employees to change their schedule, when they may want to spend time with friends and family, for a very small amount of players. Literally I cover shifts and my store is only closed 2 days a year too, it's not special whatsoever.
-
So our businesses work at LEAST 102 days more per year than them. Plus holidays. And yeah the raiding community isn't huge, but this screws over a ton that do. So why cut a small number in half? The day 1 turn out more random doubled when they pushed jt to Saturdays way back. Again, I'm just always unfortunately in the situation where I get screwed. Happens every time and I'm tired of being on the short end.
-
Truth is, it's their choice, not yours. And they choose Friday. You motive is purely greedy. Your last sentence says exactly that.
-
It's not greed. It's MY complaint because of how it affects ME. That's what a feedback forum is about. Our individual complaints. Of course it's going to be based on how it affects me. I'm not going to come in here and say "oh thank God you made it Friday so that my team could drop out and leave a few others unaffected!" I'm complaining because it takes from ME. And my team. And many others that very likely were prepping their work schedules around the regular Saturday.
-
So they should completely mess with their work schedule for a very small portion of the community? Face it, day 1 raids are for a very small portion of the community employees should not be sacrificing their weekend catering to them. I am done with this conversation.
-
Well we just have to disagree then. I think businesses should always be the ones to make a sacrifice for their customers. But that's just me.
-
Sorry most people have jobs or school
-
Don’t say sorry.
-
Don’t say it’s a personal problem
-
Well it is a personal problem. It’s not my problem, it’s not Bungie’s problem. They have given people a month to make plans if they absolutely cannot miss reset. They can’t do weekends because of what happened with vow. I’m afraid bungie can’t please everyone.
-
Yea they can make everyone happy it’s called have it on a Saturday get over yourself we get it you don’t have a job
-
I'm available to work on Saturdays but not Fridays. Some people work weekends and not Fridays. Get over YOURSELF.
-
“You can tell” not only are you wrong but making assumptions is giving ‘I want my happy meal vibes’. Grow up.
-
Raid days give bungie the biggest chance to get more customers to buy destiny. It’s overall better for the community as well people work throughout the week and love it when the raid is on a Saturday so they can be there. If the raid continues to be on Friday make the 24 hour emblem a 48 hour emblem
