75. That is the amount of crucible/gambit matches you NEED to run in order to fully upgrade all three sets of armour. 75.
I am an almost exclusively PvE player. I have no issues with crucible or gambit, I think they bring a lot to the game & I'll always jump in at the start of a new season to grab some pinnacles or some new loot, I just don't vibe playing those modes for extended periods. Is that so wrong ?
Imagine a scenario where you went to a restaurant & ordered a popcorn chicken starter, medium rare steak for main course, chocolate cake for dessert & a nice cold beer. Imagine that the waiter informs you that you can have the starter & the main course but in order to get your dessert & your drink you need to order a fish course too. Imagine you explained that fish made you queasy & while you'd be prepared to order the fish course, you wouldn't be able to eat it. Well imagine if the waiter came back & insisted that you eat the fish, imagine he stood there & watched you finish every nauseating bite before he would bring your dessert & beer over. Let me ask you, would you consider that an acceptable way to treat a paying customer ?
Look, I am not averse to a bit of a grind. Hell, I'm a PvE player, we live for that -blam!-. But forcing me to play modes I actively dislike playing for ABSOLUTELY NO DISCERNABLE REASON beyond your own laziness... well boy I dunno, that seems like a really shi**y thing to do.
On a side note, while bullying & threatening people online is never acceptable, one of the reasons it happens to Bungie devs is because the company's) words NEVER match their actions.

Pick one class. Only level/buff that class. You’ll feel so much better. Trust me.

I don't even have a Titan and my Warlock has blue and green armor. So you've got a pretty big head start on me.

Holy crap guys, I'm not looking for "hints & tips"... This is dev feedback in the feedback section of the devs forum. Click the up or click the down & go on about your day.

You get Silver Leaves upon completion. You don't have to win the matches. Just complete. Mayhem is this week. Pop on some fun gear and gather some mates and have fun. Or do a few Gambit matches. I know I need another reset for the ornament to get a Seasonal Challenge done.
I am an almost exclusively PvE player. But I do hop into PvP or Gambit for pinnacle drops or when I want to complete Seasonal Challenges.
In this scenario, if a restaurant doesn't, or can't, accommodate your dietary needs, go to another restaurant. With your analogy here, I feel like there is some burnout going on with Destiny. I would, in my honest opinion, try to put it down for a while and play something else. Just a thought. You don't have to do this event. You don't have to get the Seal. Honestly, I'm doing it to hang out with friends and have a good time. Maybe get some materials and my Light Level up to do some GMs with my mates. And some Bright Dust from Eva's bounties. I didn't have to grind out two Rank resets for The Iron Lord title. But I wanted that shader. I weighed my time against a series of pretty pixels and the pixels won.
On a side note, while bullying & threatening people online is never acceptable, one of the reasons it happens to Bungie devs is because the company's) words NEVER match their actions.
Should NEVER happen. Period. Doesn't matter what someone has or hasn't done, bullying/harrassment is NOT the answer. Do not harass or bully ANYONE online. Don't do it offline, either.

Let me ask you, would you consider that an acceptable way to treat a paying customer ?
I would definitely say the customers that agree to it & do it over & over again for years deserve it. I'd also scratch my head at the customers that agree to it & do it regularly for years, but complain about it every day.

Its a three week event. Play a little every day....and you get through it comfortably. The problem is that so many of you are impatient. So you want it all NOW...so you sit down and try to power through 25 matches in one sitting. Which of course isn't fun because you're trying to cram a week of grinding in to one play session. STOP. Be patient...and do a little at a time. You'll have more fun that way. This isn't Bungie's fault. This is what happens when you don't pay attention to the fact you aren't having fun doing something...and continue to do it anyway.

I always find it interesting that people defend Bungies lazy choices and say that the player needs to suck it up and "waste" a huge chunk of time doing repetitive, boring tasks as if that's okay. The number of crucible of Gambit matches is to get people to play those modes because they are generally the mode most people will ignore and avoid. Forcing you to play in a style Bungie wants and to desperately try to extend Solstice play to 3 weeks. My advice is to just drop it.

2 RepliesEdited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 7/21/2022 11:59:52 PMThis is not a custom order restaurant, bad example, in this restaurant everyone has to eat the same thing, so the chef has to consider everyone , not just you

1 ReplyBungie thinks since it's 21 day event you eventually do it. In reality, no one wants to do anything about any event longer then single week. On my hunter and titan I'm already did 14/24, that's means only 10 left to do. And those 10 will be done before reset and since my armor is fine, i don't want to grind silver ash for armor.

In order to get all the stuff, you have to do all the things. Crazy right? If you only participate in some of the activities, you won't get all the loot. It used to be way way worse.
-
This event is bringing out some pretty funny analogies on this forum lmao
-
That sounds about right for solstice honestly. I probably played more to get estival excursion back then.
-
Gotta get your five a day.

18 RepliesIf you want all the rewards/triumphs in this game, expect to play all the activities in this game.

2 RepliesIs the fish medium rare too? If so ... I'm leaving that restaurant and cooking at home.
