No, but it's a sign of respect. Not all men who hold doors open for you "want" you.

You miss my point. I hold doors open for men. I hold doors open for women. I hold doors open for anyone. Those that exclusively treat the action as a special service to women expect some form of attention in return. You are not a woman and have not experienced this, I have.

No, I got it. Let me rephrase if you didnt get mine- if you see a man open a door for you, don't automatically assume he's a dipshit, as you were implying you did. They probably were just being nice and do it to everyone. I identify as a woman for this post.
