“Only a sith deals in absolutes”
It seems no matter what game I go it’s either hardcore extremely frustrating SBMM like in Cold War or ridiculously equivalent CBMM of this game.
What happened the the BO2 style SBMM?

I wish! Black Ops 2 was my favorite Call of Duty. By a mile. I don't understand why no other Call of Duty has come close for me. And why no other game has tried to replicate it's good technical points. Black Ops 2 will always be the pinnacle of Call of Duty. And high bar that is close to equal with the way Halo 2 and maybe Halo 3 worked online.

I think my fair share of memories definitely came from Bo2, but Bo1, MW2, World at war were all on my list too. I think there have been a few good modern cods, thoroughly enjoyed Bo3 MP and Zombies, and Infinite Warfare’s campaign was pretty good; even BO4 MP had its moments. But I definitely felt like MW2019 changed that, maybe for better or for worse I’m not entirely sure, but none of the ones released thus far have really hit the note Bo2 did. I mean we were all younger at the time, but looking back the map design and matchmaking probably played a big role as to keeping players interested. Cold War I like the Zombies and the MP is okay, but god forbid like MW2019 some of the maps are annoying to play on and the SBMM gets frustrating when you get that sweat 6 stack lobby

I was in my 30's during BO2. And I still agree that it was the best one of the franchise. I don't care if it wasn't the best "graphically" or "cinematically" as some people might say. It was the best from a "mechanical" point of view and that means more than all of today's "super life like graphics." And yeah I know you didn't mention graphics. I just wanted too because I've known people that literally think old school games that are critically acclaimed are trash compared to new games just because of graphics. lol.

Nah I hear you. Graphics mean fa if the gameplay is trash
