It isn't too large.
Its just a poor design concept. The pool of weapons you can get from the Gunsmith, Zavala and Saladin suffer from the same problem.
Its just one big slot machine that spits out gear with no rhyme or reason....and no ability to chase any particular weapon.
Like so many of the game's reward structures, it seems the design goal was to reduce player agency, and to extend play time, rather than adaquately rewarding player investment.

Well tell now destiny 2 was desid to be all about the actives aka strikes raids and the like and about what is fun for players so it was good but bungies changes to the game changeed all of that you cant just turn around and change every thing a game is and not have problems and without playable contact people see what problems the game has so its more of a redesin problem

I feel like it’s heavily weighted towards newer weapons. There are weapons that I haven’t seen drop even once this season yet that I was getting last season. I just don’t think they can keep adding to it. There needs to be some player control over what we can go for at some point.
-
It is weighted to newer weapons, because that’s what most people want. But at the cost of being able to obtain older weapons that have regained relevance. Which is why I see the whole system as being a problem.

How wood you run the loot poll o and all guns r relevaint if you have not had it be4 or if you like that gun bungie just say contact is relevaint so it can take it away against what the community whats every 1 in the community likes different things so all contact is relevaint No matter what bungie say

I think the way the did it in Destiny 1 makes the most sense. Loot is associated with with particular locations and activities. So you could grind that particular activity to get that weapon....and when it wasn't associated with an activity you could get a bounty from the vendors in some cases to grind for it. So there is a nice balance of randomness....but alsot he ability to target a specific item that you wanted. But right now, everything that isn't associated with seasonal activities or some specific activity just gets DUMPED into this huge, non-descript lootpool. For example. If you want a True Prophechy (FWC, 120 rpm hand cannon) the only option is to go to the Gunsmith and feed him weapon parts and hope to get lucky..... ....or get STUPIDLY lucky on some world or strike playlist drop. That's poor design.

The game was desid to last just tell bungie was going to release destiny 3 the loot sistum is based on the d1 sistum it is a good sistum just not for game that runs 100% on sessions and has contact volting

Edited by TheArtist: 7/22/2021 3:37:26 PMAgreed. I think that is where a number of this game's chronic problems come from. 1. That the game was designed with systems that were not well-suited to an RPG, and with the idea that the game would be abandoned (like D1 was) before they threatened the game's survival. 2. The game wasn't abandoned, so now Bungie has to try to find a way to overhaul the game....while still keeping the game playable from day to day. Not a small feet. I liken it to renovating a house from the foundation up....while people continue to live in it every day.

Like i say to my raid goups if you have a plan you need to keep to it if the destiny community have wanted more d2 it wood not have ben so bad but the community wants to move on and createors what to create now games not fight to keep a 7 year old game no1 plays on life support and that y bungie is loss createors and i thing bungie wants to keep d2 going but is out of ideas and do not what to ask for ideas form the destiny community out of pride

I don't think they're out of ideas. I think they've simply are "culling the herd". A lot of people played this game for years because they were holding onto the hope that it would become the game they wanted. Bungie fed into this while they were with Activision by trying to be an "everything to everyone" kind of game (probably because of pressure from Activision). But when Bungie announced "Unification of Vision" two years ago, they were also putting us on notice that their design philosophy was going to change. They were no longer going to be "everything to everyone". Instead, they were going to make a very SPECIFIC kind of game....and then build their community around the players who enjoyed that kind of game. But it came with two problems. The people who are not a good fit for the that kind of game are MAD, and many of them are unwilling to let go and move on. Also, the game they inherited had many systems that were not designed for that kind of game. So they've had to overhaul the game...while we still play it every day. Which limits how fast the game can change...and how much it can change at one time. Otherwise you break the game wholesale, and it becomes unplayable.

I have seen lots of good ideas by the community but bungie do not want to no

I think you right and wrong i think we have 3 problems the bigest problem is to bild what you want to bild the way you want it you have to have 100% control of it 100% of the time but a community cant be 100% controled has people have rights and what freedom bungie cant control the destiny community and you cant control a community game 100% 2d bungie has not ben respecting its community saying things like we will no have a go with new guns without sunseting and volting contact and keeping the money 3 bungie has a problem that has be ther for years now it cant tell what it wants to do my not be what it can do you cant please every one but you can please 50% of people 50% of the time but bungie just cares about pleaseing directors and devs this days no need to please the community ist not good to please 0% of people 100% of the time bungie need to remember it cant make the community play or buy its game and that the community people games that r want we see as fun not want it sees as fun thing about change is not all change is good and change just to have change is a bad idea have change just at times its need and people will be cool with not all them form the start and last year and the year be4 with what was going on in the world with c19 and all that you do not have to be superman to no no one was going to go for bungies changes people had destiny 2 give them felling of control at a ttime rl was out of control and bungies dcv toke that away add to thet tgat people payed out a lot of money for that contact and well you can say people do not want to move on its just the destiny community wants to move on to destiny 3 but bungie what to keep doing destiny 2 so if you think about it its bungie that do not want to move on a lot of games do not make it to 6 years bungie should have ben Happy it was makeing its players Happy
