Thanks Ramjam, not sure what happened, but maybe this link is better and will help, shows it in my quest log but I don’t have it on my bow? Long story short I’m 40 Gaurdians shy of completing quest but can’t cause my bow no long has catalyst

You know that the catalyst isn’t applied until these quest are done right?

Hey, That's not the catalyst, that's the quest for the catalyst. Once you complete it, the catalyst will be available on the weapon and you will have to complete the objective listed (I believe it's 700 kills with the bow) to be able to slot it.

That is the quest to get the catalyst. Then, once you get it, you get additional kills with Ticuu in order to slot into bow.

Crap feeling extra noobish! Thanks, so once I get the last 40 kills (hard as hell at my talent level) I get the catalyst, thanks!

No worries. Yes, once you complete this quest, you will then get the catalyst. Once you get the catalyst, you then need to kill enemies (i think around 500-700) with the bow before you can put the catalyst in the bow to get added benefits.
