Sidearms are really easy to use and I feel that they are incredibly easy to use. The have a TTK that is simply too high while hitting body shots and have a ton of aim assist. They’re sort of the go to gun for someone who doesn’t actually have primary skill but needs to counter a decent shot gunner or titan.
To the people who say that sidearms are the only real counter to shotguns, they aren’t. Hitting your shots counters a shotgun. I have no problem using a handcannon only against someone who apes me. Sidearms are just too forgiving for primaries but not good enough to be special, so they’re in a weird spot where they don’t take much skill to use but would be neutered if they were moved back to the special slot.

This man gets it, I take advantage of bad movement and positioning with shotguns. Normally when someone isn’t in a bad spot I just use my primary unless I can make them do something that I want.

My FAVOURITE thing is people complaining about how “shotguns are no skill, they are used by bad players that can’t aim.” When in reality, shotguns exploit bad players. Complaining about them says more about the complainer haha

How can you be so sure on their ease of use without using them? If their aim assist is so high why do you have less than 20 precision kills?

I have used them a lot in private matches and it only takes me one or two games to see their ease of use. I don’t have many precision kills because you don’t need them with a sidearm to have a good TTK, I don’t aim for headshots if I don’t need them. I can also tell that they are easy by seeing the skill of the players that use them. I see a ton of terrible players that are only a threat because of their sidearms.
