Stop changing everything based on what gladd wants or whoever streamer wants give them a hard mode so they can shutup not everyone wants to play the game extra hardcore sweaty with challenges
Edit : i know that streamers aren’t the only one that wants this thing but bungie listen to what a streamers says more than other players or community members so if a streamer said remove normal raid and make them only contest bungie will do that and they will not care about other casuals or players that wants to try a raid for the first time
Edit 2 : make it like in d1 where you have multiple difficulty except make the harder activity gives you a higher armor stat roll ( 65+) a higher chance to get the related exotic and more spoils of war with a higher chance to get a god roll weapon that way new raiders and casuals can get the loot they want with a chilling activity and hardcore players getting better stats higher chances and better rolles

68 RepliesWe aren't going to base decisions solely on feedback from a few players. Everyone is welcome to give their critiques and we consider everyone's feedback regardless of their audience. The team is going to decide what they think is best for the game based on a mix of feedback, data, and their own expertise. That said, what do you all think? Did contest mode for the raid feel like a good challenge?

Edited by WulfPak666: 11/27/2020 4:28:32 PMIn all honestly, the things that make the raid piss easy are Swords, Divinity and Stasis, but those make literally everything in the game 100x easier. I can only imagine when VoG comes back and everyone is gonna be 1 phasing Templar and Atheon with Eyes of Tomorrow and The Lament. I also do not quite get why people are saying the raid is too easy. Like, have they played any raid in Destiny? They're literally only "hard" on Day 1 because nobody knows what to do and what dps meta works and that's with or without the Contest mod. After that, they're pretty easy and the only difficulty comes from your partners lacking survivability, understanding or communication. The end game pve community has been around the block with Bungie and raids. We find out all the strats and the means to absolutely destroy these bosses within a day. The only thing that will stop that is another Oryx where our weapons don't damage him, some mechanic does and oddly enough a lot of people hate how the Oryx boss fight was. So go figure that. That being said, I thoroughly enjoy this raid and I find it extremely fun and the replayability is on pair with Wrath of the Machine to an extent.

5 RepliesIm not a streamer (I can't stream this game because I can't take myself seriously being a Destiny streamer). That being said, I read what Gladd said about the day 1 experience... and I honestly balled over laughing. He said that the adds were too easy but the mechanics were hard. ... ... ... Flipping it is the truth. The mechanics are incredibly easy (just punishing screw ups) but the adds were a massive issue. I watched a bit of his stream and his team thought the same. Captians in the final phase were an issue, and trash mobs in the 2nd encounter were a problem killing people during DPS phases. I did a sherpa right after day 1 with half the group being completely blind, finished the whole raid in about 1 hour. You can describe every encounter in just a few quick sentances, its not that complicated because each roll is simple. Spotter looks for glowing yellow, operator shoots panels or players caught in purple bubble, suppessor shoots boss under drones that are on the same side as the boss. Then its just, move bombs to call outs and don't let debuff hit x10 or cleanse boss ball in phase 2 in an airlock. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW SOOOOOOOOOO COMPLICATED.

2 RepliesI find it hard to watch raid races being conducted on pc. Sub machine guns fire with laser accuracy across the map and everyone moves around like they have max mobility. When they show their character with no max mobility and are using riskrunner. Bungie should have them all separately done. Pc PS and Xbox titles for world's first with an actual first getting a slightly nicer belt.

12 RepliesEdited by THE SARGE 01: 11/25/2020 1:14:51 AMExactly, -blam!- THEM. They want something on hard mode, go get a -blam!-ing job. Leave you basements and do work like the rest of us mortals.

6 RepliesEdited by Gun: 11/25/2020 11:20:20 PMIf they want a challenge come back to console. Only 267 teams beat it day 1 on Xbox and I was one of them. I don't care what gladd says about this emblem being handed out on pc, I earned it on Xbox. He does not speak for the community.

1 ReplyThese streamers need to take off their fully masterworked three 100 stat pieces of gear, optimal sets switching out for every encounter, take off all their raid and God rolled weapons and go play on console solo with the Lfg on destiny app if they want more of challenge.
-
4 RepliesFor the people who think raid mechanics are hard: Please. Go back to strikes. They aren’t that hard after watching a 15 minute video.
-
Edited by Sainted: 11/26/2020 9:18:22 PMWelp.... start streaming and then you can have a say in what happens next I guess
-
1 ReplyWell if they want a challenge they can go on lfg and try it with randoms see how easy it is when they aren’t rolling with 5 other people that no life this game
-
10 RepliesA big offender is DATTO he agrees with every nerf even if it destroys a weapon archetype or a subclass. He wants to remove well of radiance and titan bubble and he wants every encounter to be as hard as a grandmaster nightfall and he wants all weapons to do little damage and he wants to remove anything and everything that makes the game a little easier or makes you feel powerful. It quite frankly makes me sick so to speak.

1 ReplyDestiny 2 streamers and content creators shouldn't make content that benefits all players for the endgame if they're crying that the raid was to "easy" and that over 5K teams completed it on Day 1. Examples of videos would be Exotics, build guides, and best DPS weapons. Also Ehroar's video about his raid builds. How many people, of the 5K teams that got Day 1, watched Ehroar's video? How about Gladd's streams, Sweatscicle's, Evanf1997's, Aztecross, FalloutPlay's, Datto's? Content creators should be held accountable for the assistance in helping the 5K teams. Now that I think about it, lets kill it with kindness. To the 5K teams that got Day 1, this includes me, thank your favorite Destiny 2 streamer/content creator and say "Thank you for your streams/videos! Without your content, I wouldn't have gotten the Day 1 emblem!" Maybe then they'll think before they state their opinion.

In D1 there were adept weapons for trials and raid challenge modes. Since they bring back adept weapons for trials it is rational to assume that they already planned to bring raid challenges back. Bungie’s marketing vitrine is only there to promote or test market readiness. That said, in D1 ads control and boss dps were quite challenging in raids, in fact more so than mechanics, while it’s the diametrical opposite in D2. Mechanics are the only challenge, and I miss the satisfaction of aiming. Anyway, I hope that raid challenges will not consist of more elaborated mechanics like operator scanner and suppressor losing their buffs and suffering from a debuff forcing all players to take over each role one at a time. Bc that is just cheap.

10 RepliesEdited by Pig Farmer: 11/24/2020 11:07:38 AMI always wanted that option since Wrath of the Machine raid from D1. But they only listen to try hards that made a small percentage of the original millions of players on D1, after Kings fall and the confusing mechanics and the drought of content the number of players dwindle down by the millions. I liked the game but i stopped doing raids after King’s fall, I couldn’t keep up with the mechanics. After that it just seemed like a chore, i have a problem with memory ever since i had an aneurysm and a stroke after the procedure. I heard from other people in the forums that many have different physical or mental problems that bungie could help if they added a training mode for the raid, like when you start a game you get help by the game and give you hints on how to do it. Just for the easy mode, after that you would learn the mechanics.

I liked leviathan prestige mode, hated eow and sos with their strike modifier style. I’d like to see more prestige modes with emblems and auras attached as rewards for completions. I’d also like a special day one aura that lasts until the next new raid.
-
What is wrong with a little challenge. You can always choose not to accept it?
-
Multiple options is fine. Glass didn't say he wanted only hard mode

The ONLY issue I have right now is I believe a good majority of this game is designed for the PC side of the player base, it just happens to be that's where the hardcore players who put in 8+ hours a day in this game are located. Ever since last wish I feel that the raids were designed with PC in mind. I hope that the newer gen of consoles will change this but time will tell as new consoles have some quirks to flatten out. Garden was a great example of this remember how laggy the final boss encounter was?

Edited by RocknRoll_Steve: 11/25/2020 10:11:46 PMStreamers = free advertizing. Destiny is a live-service game, which is another way of saying profit will always come before quality. Free advertising increases profit. Now go buy some silver and go back to grinding for the pleasure of grinding again.

1 ReplyDon’t give streamers jack or shit.
-
It’s true your bang on ! Basically lead up to raid streamers had lost sector exploitation to level and when I get home from work it’s been fixed ! Also literally the contest modifier is there for gladd and datto and co so the raid isn’t easy well that’s great but if I don’t level up to 1265 I’ve got lfg groups denying my post to join ! Even tho I said power above 1230 is irrelevant

1 ReplyMad cuz bad? Steamers reeeeeeeee That is what I learned from op.
-
10 RepliesI mean to be fair, nothing in this game is actually difficult It's just cheap bs Like dark souls

Edited by GuillesDNeyes: 11/26/2020 5:18:49 AMThey don't want you to play, they want you to watch them play. If people would just stop watching, they'll go away.

1 ReplyYup, these constant nerfs to things and trying to make the game challenging is what made it boring. It was way more fun (imo) when we were really powerful and had powerful weapons and could speed run any content. Now its a boring bounty grind fest.
-
4 RepliesJokes Aside I somewhat agree with you. It is really stupid that the new exotic armor is locked behind legendary and master lost sectors which I don't mind but the fact that the drop rate are so awful. There are people who ran these lost sectors over 20 times and they never got the Exotic a drop. Not to mention I did have noticed an increase of streamers who prefer content where all the enemies are red bar and you have to be Tactical. It honestly reminds me of the first Mars DLC back in vanilla Destiny 2. Where basically Bungie decided to increase the escalation protocol difficulty because streamers thought it was too easy. Then time Jump two months later Bungie decided to Nerf the difficulty because not enough people were doing the content. However I don't mind that kind of content but some players they can't handle that kind of content. There are some players in the community who can't even do a simple strike. Example I did a hero Fallen Empire and I'm sure I can do a legend if I really wanted to but long story short I was carrying people through the Fallen Empire and it wasn't even master. In short Bungie will always listen to streamers they will eventually see that the advice given will not benefit the community long-term overall and they will revert to the original changes. Example if the content is too hard they will nerf the content. Just like what happened with Destiny 2 at launch the game was too casual and they fixed it. Bungie honestly treat Destiny 2 like it's a beta.
