Jack logs the area as an invested site and readies the fleet for an orbital bombardment. He then squeezes into the confines of his Minotar, one of the only vehicles immune to the black goup.

He sees a quiet and still city, the horde turned into puddles of liquid. Near the edge of the city an area is torn apart, and two people rush towards a building

Jack activates the Minotar's jetpack and heads for the two at a rate of 40 meters per second.

As he goes, he sees them enter the building, then follow another figure out. The figure in the lead raises its hand, gathers the goop from everywhere, and burns it away, then drops like a stone

Jack arcs towards them as fast as the Minotar goes. He crashes down behind them, hot on their heels.

He sees the figure that destroyed the goop sit up and laugh in a harsh voice, then grow larger, its armor changing color as it speaks to the other figures. "Titan's a wee bit exhausted from his fight against that thing, so y'all are gonna have to make do with me."

Jack has all his ships target the figure, but orders them not to fire until he says so. "Mind if I ask about what in all the world is going on?"

The figure chuckles. "Oh, I'm always angry Blaze. Watson, I think I'm gonna head out and start killing some things now." He turns to Jack. "And you sir, don't worry 'bout none of it. It's all over now." He cracks his knuckles. "And my fun is just beginning." A portal appears behind him and he leaps through, snapping it shut.

The Minotar turns to the others. " Who was that? "
