You can still speed run. You just can't use a sword thats intention was never to fling you across the map like that. Good luck advocating for something to be put back that was not intentional. Bungie let you guys play with that for many seasons. It's time to move on. Everyone's broken thing eventually gets fixed. You should have never thought speed runners were exempt in this.

  •
Everyone's broken thing eventually gets fixed.
Say that to the broken matchmaking on forges... Or items dropping through level geometry (had this happen yesterday during Garden of Salvation)... Or menu loading times... Or Spire of Stars "mute" glitch... To me, at least, seems that "Everyone's FUN broken thing eventually gets fixed."

  • Matchmaking being broken was talked in these forums since the launch of Black Armory. It just "died out" because people saw that Bungie wouldn't fix it. Items dropping through gemoetry LITERALLY happens since D1 vanilla. Again, nothing was done. SoS sound glitch happens since the launch of the raid lair. So much so that Bungie themselves said "they were investigating the issue" as you can see in this forum post: https://www.bungie.net/pt-br/Forums/Post/245448432 Nothing. Was. Ever. Done. Menu load times, to my knowledge happens on consoles. Nothing has been said or done about it. Those are only a few to point out, if I made a "full list" It would be immense (and probably you wouldn't read).

  • I was simply pointing out the obvious that the most knowns glitches are the ones being patched since they are seen the most. Do you think its more important to patch not as often glitches or more common bugs

  • I think it's important to fix things that are critical. One example of that is the HUGE ammount of network codes that people are getting and the "blue screen ce-34878-0" errors that PS4 is getting (mind you, the latter happened when Curse of Osiris dropped and was fixed, only to be reintroduced on this season). If something is: 1 - Enjoyed by the community (like the "sword skate"). and 2 - Doesn't break the "competitive" aspect of the game. Then it shouldn't be "fixed". It's a wasted of dev time and resources and one that isn't really necessary. Just like when Hunters' cloacks and Warlocks' jackets disappear. It doesn't affect anything major in the game, so it doesn't matter if it stays glitched.

  • Graphical errors are always problems in games because its simple game design that you dont want buggy graphics, its not always about of if “Well its graphics may be broken but it cant hurt anyone so just leave it be and fix the other bugs”.

  • I have to call you out on 2 things, error codes that pop up on the PlayStation are just PlayStation problems. And sword skating wasn’t enjoyed by the whole community, it was enjoyed my PC PLAYERS, and not all of them it was specifically enjoyed by PC SPEED RUNNERS. Now that sword skating is gone there will be new sections in the speed-running community that Console players can now hope to get onto. Overall it shouldn’t be fair that speedrunning on D2 (this is held and controlled by the speedruning community) that PC and Console are combined to make up D2 speedruns, that isnt fair at all, so im glad that that now the two platforms are on equal terms.

Thats why there were CONSOLE LEADERBOARDS for speed runs. it has nothing to do with skill, its hardware which impact load times and frame rate. PC is always going to dominate, your point is completely irrelevant. I think out of all people you should not be replying to something way out of your skill cap because you sir ruin it for others. I mean look at your rr
And sword skating wasn’t enjoyed by the whole community, it was enjoyed my PC PLAYERS, and not all of them it was specifically enjoyed by PC SPEED RUNNERS.
And that's why there are leaderboards for every platform. This "Now that sword skating is gone there will be new sections in the speed-running community that Console players can now hope to get onto." is, simply said, bollocks. If you don't believe, check why Billy Mitchell was banned from speedrunning: He posted times using MAME emulator on Arcade leaderboards. Edit:
error codes that pop up on the PlayStation are just PlayStation problems.
Right. Except that they aren't. The same problem occurred when Curse of Osiris launched and, at a later date, was fixed. Besides, other games don't give the same error (I experienced a HHD dying and it gave errors on ALL games, not only D2). The only thing that actually is a "Playstation problem" is the error code being only for Playstation, since Xbox and PC would have their own (if one at all on PC's case).
