We need trials and faction rallies
Title says all.
Edit. Obviously they both need a huge rework compared to Y1 of D2...and for sure specific NEW loot,not a simple reskin.

We need factions, but not rallies. Factions were much better in D1; D2 faction rallies are a crap fest. None of them were engaging or fun. I'd much prefer the factions have more of a story purpose, providing bounties and quests each season to advance their cause. All the rallies did was make a lame competition between players, which I did not enjoy.

4 Replies“We” don’t need faction rallies. They were shit. I’m sure people would agree and much prefer actual factions like they were in D1. Faction rallies were not fun, neither was doing the lost sectors and public events for stupid tokens.

No trials would just be another place for cheaters, paid carries/recovs to thrive, if they start banning streamers who do paid recovs and carries then fine

If they'd just return factions to how they were in D1 people would be happy. Bungie needs to stop trying to reinvent the wheel when they don't need to.

The idea of trials was good in theory, but it turned into streamers making bank selling trips to the lighthouse!!!! With streamers selling carries for pinnacles left and right, Bringing back trials would be the SAME CRAP as before. Bungie needs to come up with quest and activities that streamers can't sell carries for, not bring back ones that guarantee they will!!!!!!!!

PvE limited time event? Yes plz. Another PvP limited time event? no. This billion dollar, 500+ employee, AAA dev studio can't even churn out an additional hour of content every quarter.

Yesss, I have so many ps4 buddies waiting to come back to the game just for trials. The only people I see opposing this would be the ones that don’t like competitive pvp in general, sadly. WHEN they do bring it back I sure hope it’s not watered down and neutered the way comp has been

Faction Rallies or better yet the D1 system. It's great being able to earn rep with your chosen faction and get rewards, at present we just have a bunch of door stops hanging around in the hanger doing and saying nowt.

I like trials being gone. I know I’m largely alone, but I hated that game mode and it made trying to play any other crucible on the weekends difficult. Plus, that mode single-handedly made the playerbase whine like infants louder than ever and got things nerfed that didn’t need it. But I agree, if either were to come back, dedicated non-reskinned loot would be a necessity.

The rallies were a pain but factions need to return. Why the gel they changed them from D1? It worked! Now they’re useless.

Trials in its previous form would be better then no trials at all imo. But even then trials of the nine existed when pvp was more competitive. Now it’s just insane kill crap and roaming supers. Both take little skill but hey that’s what this community wants for pvp anyways. Just put random rolls on weapons and give trials in its current form so at least there’s something. Guns aren’t bad but the armour was gorgeous

You have Comp playlists so there is your trials. Osirus is found and apparently we are far more powerful than him. Supposedly Trials was to prepare us for some crazy battle. Only we slept through it and win. So purpose of Trials is gone, Osirus is found.

Just bring factions back permanently. Each character can pledge to a separate faction and you can change at any time. When you first pledge, you get a legendary class item (you can pick solar, arc, void). Wearing it means completing any activities (crucible, EP, strikes, public events, patrols etc) gives you faction tokens. Trade faction tokens for a random weapon/armour package at the faction vendor with random rolls on the old faction weapons and armour. Have weekly rotating stock of weapons with different rolls you can buy too as well as rotating ‘items’ (maybe one week you can buy prisms with tokens etc). Get to rank 25 with a faction and get an exotic faction class item that lets you slot ANY class item mods regardless of elemental affinity. Not that hard really is it? Be cool to have a faction themed exotic quest for each faction too that gives a faction exotic weapon. But that’s the cherry on top.

To start with, remove stacks altogether from Iron Banner. Until it's fixed, no other PvP modes should be addressed.
