[spoiler]Ahh a eclipse event I have time to participate in! At least for a little bit.[/spoiler]
*I head to the sight to check it out, and see how my old cult buddies are doing, with my sword and shield at the ready of corse.*

*There are tons of guards surrounding the area! About half are wearing black robes and the other half are wearing blue robes. The blue robed guards don’t seem to have weapons.*

*Im going to find cover then observe the guards, seeing if any of either color break off for any reason, making it an easier target.*

*A small group of guards with mixed robe colors moves away from the main force. They are walking towards a small crater in the ground.*

*I will slowly follow them to see what they are looking at.*

*They arrive at the crater hop down and grab an object that was sitting at the bottom. They are taking a moment to talk.*

*I shall put my shield on my back then raise the bigger blue shield that comes out if the wristband on my arm. Then, as silently as I can which may not be all too silent in plate mail, I will charge them in an attempt to hit them with the shield and render them unconscious.*

*You manage to knock them out! They drop the object and it falls back into the crater.*

*I bring them into the crater as to avoid sight, and then look at the object to figure out what it is.*

*It is a small pulsing crystal. It reminds you of the crystals inside the spike beast from the void. It contains way too much energy for something so small.*

An energy source then. But to power what, a spell? One way to find out. *I take everything that can be used as a weapon or a homing device or any gadget off of the group, then try to wake on of them up, with my sword pointed at him.* Hey, mind telling me what this s?

*What color robe?*

Let’s go with a blue one.

“Oh the crystal? Well it acts as a catalyst for spells because of the souls contained within.”

“I thought as much, but what spell, what are you trying to do here? And why did you answer that so willingly, not the die for your cause type are you?”

“I don’t know why we are here and I didn’t resist because it takes a little bit to cast a spell.” *A red javelin made of magic appears behind you.*

My shields on my back, has magic of its own and would probably block it, plus I can cut your throat before you get a chance to use, so I advise not doing that. *I bend my knees and get ready to roll sideways when he doesn’t listen to me.*

“Ah.” *You can sense they’ve linked their javelin to the crystal. It grows in strength.* “And if you kill me now it will just lead to you being stabbed. It has its course set and it will fly the moment I release it.”

So it seems we are at a standstill, I kill you and you kill me, or you kill me and I kill you, either way we both get killed. So what do you propose from here me intelligent friend.

“I propose that we both get rid of our weapons. Toss the sword to the side and I’ll dispel the spell.”

Sure thing. *I throw my sword to the side, out of both of our reach.*

*The spell disappears and the link with the crystal is broken. They swiftly back away.*

Thank you for actually complying kind sir, now I hope you don’t call out for help and get your new friend killed. But you did say something about a soul being in the crystal.

“Souls. Plural. There are about 20 in that crystal alone.”

“Don’t know. We were sent to collect it because it just showed up.” *They back up.*
