Lunas howl and Not Forgotten need a nerf
A weapon that:
Takes little to no recoil/flinch when being shot
Is deadly accurate with extremely high stability
Has the highest time to kill that other Pinnacle weapons cannot achieve (Excluding crucible weapons)
Makes better players better and widens a skill gap between being good and having a weapon
Ruins the overall game experience for those who don't have it
A weapon like that, needs a nerf

8 RepliesGo and watch some top tier Destiny players on Twitch or YouTube. They use a HUGE variety of loadouts and absolutely destroy their opponents. Even without LH/NF. That's the best thing about D2 over D1, there is a huge variety of gear in PvP that is viable.

You're just ranting over a weapon you cant get its childish

I grinded my ass off to get all the fabled rank weapons and quite frankly I have used these against people who have them as well and I have been outwitted and outplayed so in summary stfu if you haven’t used them. And please stop whining people; like you are usually the ones who CBA to play comp or are too bad to even touch it.

If LH/NF werent in the game you All would just bitch and moan about the next Best weapon before destiny ended up being nothing but throwing rocks at each other. There are pleanty of ways to counter these weapons.

2 Repliesmore often than not the weapon is not the problem, the player is. I have come across many wielding Luna's and Not Forgotten - only to have them become mash potato because they have no thumbs, - its a 50 / 50. I am an average crucible player. I like it, its fun, its a game. the sweats are real, yet it s more often than not those with the gun that become way to overconfident and over extend their reach when they realize that, the gun, you have, in your hand? is ONLY as strong as the player who wields it. Yes its a 180 HC, but I have a trust I use, with Outlaw & EP and they cant aim for shit when you stagger them - break the shot rhythm and you break their aim.

I don’t have them but no nerfs plz. Good players rect me with anything. Instead they should do Claymore kind of thing for it and make them available to all. Then people who are not good might get it and realize it is a skill based weapon and notice that they still die, because they make bad decisions in the battlefield.

If they have either they have used hand cannons enough to understand their strengths and their weaknesses and adapt their playstyle to suit. Also, they would prob still out gun yiu with anything else. TLDR? Stop blaming others for your own short fall in the crucible

4 RepliesDude, I know plenty of guys that are not able to use the gun. It does have a learning curve and it does not grant you "easy kills" like the Jotüüm, the Telesto, the Wavesplitter or the Colony - just to name a few. In Comp, you will come across people that clearly bought their NF and Lunas and you can INSTANTLY tell. They have the weapon but NOT the skill to succeed with it. It's usually NOT the pinnacle weapon that gets the kills but the qualified player wielding it.

I feel like they just made the wrong archetype a pinnacle weapon, it's a little too clear of its opposition on console. Also lunas is not hard to get, if you can't get it and are upset by that, this isn't the game for you I'm afraid

[armory]Luna's Howl[/armory] as a 3 Tap weapon is good and satisfying! If it were to get [i]"adjusted"[/i], I would like to decrease Magnificent Howl to 900ms, it won't make a difference against the Guardian in front of me but it would lessen the chances of [b]cheap 2 Tap[/b] for the unfortunate follow-up Guardian behind the other guy I just killed.

Don’t have either weapon. Played against a lot of them going to fabled. Always wanted to have at least one one my team. To me it was an emblem telling me this guy is pretty darn good. What I would do is try to run with my random meta team mate and draw fire and allow him to slay two or three opponents. Using this method helped me a lot. I knew instantly based on their load out they would be good and very seldom was that not the case. Weapon Doesn’t make the player so nerfs don’t hurt them in the end because for the most part the players with those weapons do work and put in the effort that most people are not willing to put in. I say good on them for earning and using their pinnacle weapons. No nerf on anything ever.

Exactly! It demotivates those who are bad. And the bad can’t get good if they get killed before any other weapon in half a second. It would be fine if it requires skill, but the godly aim assist makes it insanely easy to use. It’s the reason people complain about crucible steps. Because all you run into is lunas howl and not forgotten and you can’t compete if they are better and have the best crucible primary that you don’t have. It’s also the reason crucible numbers are dropping. So the bad get matched with the good without sbmm. Which would be fine if we were on a level playing field. But we aren’t. Bad players can’t use the same god tier weapons and thus can’t get better if they don’t have a chance to. So basically, it’s either reintroduce SBMM(which I hate a whole lot) or retire/nerf lunas howl and not forgotten. Not to mention “Influencers” don’t talk about it because they are all on pc. Lunas isn’t as much of a problem for them because every weapon has little recoil and no aim assist. Meaning lunas isn’t as popular. So they don’t know. Look at Dattos video on lunas. Says it’s not the best weapon because you still have to hit headshots and if you miss, it’s punishing. And the range is low(still not bad at all), but the maps are all small so it doesn’t matter very much. But the majority of users are on console. The aim assist makes it an extremely easy to use weapon, on top of only being available to better players. Consequentially, most have to suffer, unless you have lunas or your on pc. And bungie won’t do anything. Everyone loves handcannons. And influencers won’t understand because they aren’t on console. So they will get mad. And the salty pvp players will cry, “But I earned it so I should be able to use it however I want”. So bungie won’t do anything. Crucible is dead to me as soon as I get my recluse. I love destiny crucible and loved destiny 2 forsaken crucible until it was flooded with lunas howl users. Then it got saturated with the same loadouts and without sbmm and the exclusivity of the weapon, it meant those who don’t have the weapon will almost always lose 1 v 1’s unless the person is absolute garbage at aiming anywhere near a head. Overall, the weapon is bad for the game and is rapidly reduces players. Those who are bad at crucible stay bad because the good get better, and run out of pve content. Then they leave the game.

I'll never be that guy with the LH/NF since I don't want to put all that time into getting them. I'm not that good either so I probably wouldn't get it unless I was carried. SO, I will be that guy chucking Jotuun shots from across the map hoping they drill someone.

I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong. I've a Luna and let me tell you what has killed me before, during and after I got it....just about every single weapon in D2! Up close I've been ripped apart by Last Word, shotguns and Sidearms. Medium range by Bygones and auto rifles, long range by Mida, Jade and the forge pulse. At ANY range the truely skilless weapon of Jotuun and Tolesto. A good weapon does not make good players immune to death! My honest advice to you is the same as others gave me me when I was trying to improve in pvp: git gud!
