Lunas howl and Not Forgotten need a nerf
A weapon that:
Takes little to no recoil/flinch when being shot
Is deadly accurate with extremely high stability
Has the highest time to kill that other Pinnacle weapons cannot achieve (Excluding crucible weapons)
Makes better players better and widens a skill gap between being good and having a weapon
Ruins the overall game experience for those who don't have it
A weapon like that, needs a nerf

3 Repliesit took 4 days to get 2100 points this time around, go to comp and get the guns is so much easier. Yes i fought 4 stacks thats the way it goes. Play good ,make friends,team up and get the guns. Recluse is fun. Nothing needs to be nerfed outside of the communities ability to get stuff nerfed. Thats needs nerfing immediately.

1 ReplyI'll never get those guns, I accept I'm not good enough, but I shouldnt meet those who are good enough and now have the best weapons! Don't NERF them but instead bring back SBMM. Apparently Service Revolver is almost as good as NF or LH with the right role.

They should just get rid of the 180 HC archetype as a whole. They're more like long range sidearms than handcannons.

3 Repliescan we have this include giving wardcliff coil only 1 rocket on heavy pickup, it's a free 2 - 4 kills if you get it now... and don't tell me to counter it i have the catalyst and i kill people who i shouldn't regularly around corners and such.

NF could get nerfed but I just don’t think it’s fair to people who earned it legitimately. Unless something like stability or flinch, it doesn’t need a nerf. Other hand cannon archetypes, scouts, and auto rifles do need buffs and we need bigger maps. That would add more variety to the weapon and even subclass meta. Spectrals wouldn’t be as op because it won’t be able to team wipe twice on a huge map.

11 RepliesWhat they need is more competition, right now there aren't really any weapons that can compete. If they brought back Luck in The Chamber THEN those guns would have a run for their money and they wouldn't seem as bad. Yes, even reintroducing a perk like Luck in The Chamber would make a difference, will they do that?... Given their current track record of bungles and obviously bad decisions, I would have to say no. Hopefully Hawkmoon is not too far off.. that is probably the only gun I could see competing with those two OP weapons, because if Hawkmoon is done correctly it should be an easy two tap once the double Luck in the Chamber perks go off virtually one after the other like they did in D1.

15 RepliesNope, because then what’s the point in grinding for them? They nerf LH, I will absolutely uninstall this game. HC is meant to be exceptional and it is. That being said, they really missed up offering NF which is LH with scout rifle range. Only way to nerf it is to knock down the range, but then it’s just LH. LH can be countered effectively.

I’d rather they spent the time and energy balancing MM and bringing in weapons they can compete better, rather than nerfing!

They are fine as-is. Don’t ever ask Bungie for a nerf. In fact, buff them. Buff my Suros Regime too, back to the way it was originally. Buff scouts especially. Buff nova bomb, because really, I’ll still kill myself with it. Probably on some door frame.

2 RepliesPersonally I don't have an issue with them and before you say anything NO I do not own neither 1 of those weapons because I won't touch comp play at all! But if they do by chance end up nerfing them I won't be upset :P And if they do they should nerf the Jotuun as well ;) that thing hurts like hell :(

I'm not going to hate here, but neither of these guns are op or need a nerf (I have neither). The recluse is far more forgiving and you can spray it, has a good time frame for master of arms and will end your life instantly - I also don't think this gun is op. Where i do see your point that it widens the skill gap, a good player will always be good. Have you tried to get Luna? Why not just play in the competition playlist for a few day and see what happens.. Also need I mention both last word and thorn are beautiful weapons to use. That reminds me can a PC clan help me get fabled - I'm 1500 points and super friendly 😉

I dont have either gun. I have 0 issues going against them. Im am still able to hold my own with what i use. Bad players with a good weapon are still bad players. Good players are good with any weapon. I dont let a couple of weapons drive me into complaining to the forums. I look for ways to beat them 👍

You need a buff. More seriously. Nerfing isnt the good thing to do. They should buff the other handcanons to make them similar to pc. Because in fact on pc, you barely see luna/nf. People are more about 150/140 Handcanons. And every HC type is good to use. Even with a controler (thats what im using, and i play with a duke mk44) We have less bloom, and recoil so we can benefit from the range of other handcanons.

6 RepliesI’ve given up on getting Luna’s. I have no interest in being in a fire team communicating. The randomness of team mates or stacks ruins the experience. Up down up down in glory score makes it incredibly tedious. There’s nothing to play quickplay for that’s worth the effort, so they’ve effectively given me no reason to play PvP at all. Luna’s could have easily been a QP pinnacle weapon with Not Forgotten being the Comp version, but they obviously have no interest in retaining ‘average’ crucible players. That’s on them.

I’m pretty conflicted about this topic. I feel like players who are good enough to earn the pinnacle weapons and use them efficiently deserve something special for the grind they went through. But I also think that casual players who have no hope of getting these guns shouldn’t have to regularly compete against players that are already better than them and then also have a top tier weapon that those casuals will never earn
