A weapon that:
Takes little to no recoil/flinch when being shot
Is deadly accurate with extremely high stability
Has the highest time to kill that other Pinnacle weapons cannot achieve (Excluding crucible weapons)
Makes better players better and widens a skill gap between being good and having a weapon
Ruins the overall game experience for those who don't have it
A weapon like that, needs a nerf

3 RepliesLuna’s and NF is just another layer of “broken” in PvP. You could remove those OP weapons and PvP would still be absolute trash as a result of the poor/non existent matchmaking. They’re definitely a problem for what little there is left to Destiny though. Probably wouldn’t be an issue if scoring Luna’s/NF wasn’t so dependent on unbalanced matchmaking and connection/region lottery.

You sound like your feelings are hurt because you're not very good...i just looked at your kd, yeah I was right... second, you probably play on console. nobody even uses Luna on PC...sorry. No nerf incoming
-
7 RepliesYou just need to move them to competitive only. The only problem with these weapons are everyone going into quick play with them and trying to farm all the casuals.

Lol everyone disliked this post. U should just delete it.

Do you know how hard it is to get NF??

4 RepliesEdited by Tigerpaws: 3/31/2019 3:57:13 PMWhat if for say 1 weekend a month, they had it so you didn't lose glory after a loss but the amount for a win was reduced. Once you hit fabled it returned to normal. That would encourage more into the playlist, means good teams still get to stomp, will give newbies a taste of the playlist and sort out some of the issues with solo players.

Edited by ScottF 2112: 3/31/2019 3:33:04 PMWithout pinnacle weapons there might not be anyone doing comp. Luna's is great, but people using Luna's still get killed. Here are some things you might want to try.. use Bygones and stay at a distance Use Last Perdition or Swift Ride or Cadenza (elemental Bygones type) and stay at a distance Use Jotunn and get good at pre-charging and moving after firing. Use two fusion rifle scavenger perks use Erentil (I don't have it, but get wrecked by it in the time I can get 3 or 4 hand cannon shots off if I'm not moving around enough) Use Trust with a good roll, but yeah you need to hit the first shot learn to be a shotgun person use TLW and get close maybe an SMG and get close but this might be tough Maybe Cerberus +1 for close range, but I haven't tried that for a long time I can't snipe in PVP, but that works too All of these approaches can kill me while I'm using Luna's. I try not to be in position for any of that to happen, but get outplayed by people doing this and other stuff all the time.

1 ReplyWrong. They cannot nerf them. The only thing they can do is offer an alternative weapon through RNG which I believe is already available (trust, service revolver) no nerfs. Luna’s is easy to get if you really want it.
-
1 ReplyI think the range at which it can kill is a bit overindulgent. It's pretty hard to flinch them even with a pulse or scout at medium range.

2 RepliesEdited by Talia Sendua: 3/31/2019 11:03:55 AMI'm not for a nerf for pinnacle weapons at all. Luna and NF are strong but not uncounterable. I got recluse in the last days. I don't use any other gun the game anymore than recluse. This gun is my new gjallahorn (and I was no fan of gjallahorn!) I just think Bungie needs to buff all no-pinnacle guns a bit more. Edit: How about we make NF a high impact HC with low rate of fire?
-
No they don't just reduce bloom on other handcannons
-
No, for simply one reason: they need to be powerful. People grind SEASONS for these guns. They are dedicated to getting these, and the guns absolutely cannot be a let down. And they aren’t instakills, you need aim practice and range and the know-how to be good in crucible using this gun/guns. If they were nerfed and nobody used them, what’s the point? People would be wasting their time, because they want that OP super powerful gun that shreds in crucible because that is what makes the quest worth it, and the long time it takes to get them.

The issue for me, is getting them - non-Crucible Pinnacles, anyone can go for them and everyone can get them but this isn’t case for Crucible Pinnacles.... anyone can go for them, but not everyone will get them. There is massive imbalance here! For Lunas, anyone and everyone can do the steps right up to 2100 - this is where it changes from other non-crucible Pinnacles to where only some will complete this step. Bungie has doubled Loss Points and there is no rank/sub-Rank locks so if you have a string of losses then this is really going to impact you massively! So again, personally speaking, Lunas and NF’s does not need nerfing but rather comp needs to be looked into by Bungie - cause to me, Bungie is saying that I do not belong in Crucible and I do not deserve to have a Lunas even though I grind and I grind and I try my best but it’s not enough!

15 RepliesEdited by Hawpy: 3/31/2019 2:17:13 AMWill never understand why people can be against this suggestion, on Console at least. It makes up for the one drawback of the already most popular and powerful archetype of Hand Cannon, is incredibly easy to use and crucially, functions differently to other Pinnacle Crucible weapons. The Mountaintop actually has a skill requirement to use successfully, while Redrix's Claymore/Broadsword and The Recluse are nothing more than above-average weapons in their respective archetypes without any setup. Luna's Howl/Not Forgotten give huge rewards to players...…….for using a Hand Cannon like they normally would? Claymore/Broadsword are in an extremely punishing archetype of Pulse Rifle that demands accuracy, while The Recluse has you living entirely within Shotgun range. There's no risk to using LH/NF and no requirement that you have to be conscious of in order to get rewards. Mountaintop has projectile travel, Claymore has chaining headshots and Recluse has timer management. The kind of people who vehemently defend the guns and say they earned them are the same kind who will go into Quick Play with Dust Rock Blues, LH/NF and Wardcliff Coil surgically implanted into their bodies. Rarity and difficulty of getting a gun is no excuse for it being blatantly overpowered. Just ask the Vex Mythoclast, no one would deny that it needed a nerf and it got one. Same goes for laser tag Prometheus Lens, which was only saved by Bungie manually making Xur sell it.

The ONLY nerf that I can see that could be plausible is the reduction of aim assist. Otherwise, both guns are fine.

How many of these posts can be made? I got Luna solo, wasn’t that difficult but wasn’t that easy. Just righttttttttttt My pvp is just above 1 k/d so keep hope or do like I have done, abandon this game and occasionally drop in on the forums for a good laugh. Apex legends ftw F the grind for the same guns I had 3 years ago. I remember getting hawkmoon after clearing the vault and being next to insanely excited. Alas those times are gone. If D3 wipes all progression and loot I will cry laughing.

2 RepliesIf anything they need a buff. They shoot way too slow and the magnificent howl perk needs to be readjusted. It's too weak of a perk. They need a buff along with recluse and mountain top.
-
Edited by Dredgen Cusp: 3/31/2019 2:25:53 PMNah me personally (a person who spams Not Forgotten in comp) i think we just need to make other archetypes of hand cannons better and more reliable so that they can outclass LH and NF. So just buff all the other HC's and make more weapons like the recluse that are better than NF
-
52 RepliesA 0.9kd asking for nerfs, what a surprise lol.
-
I think learning how to counter and learning to beat the luna users makes you a better player. there is nothing wrong with a little challenge. A nerf would just make crucible easier and less challenging and if you don't push your boundaries you wont get any better.
-
1 ReplySucks to suck.
-
Has the highest time to kill that other Pinnacle weapons cannot achieve
Recluse would like to talk to you
-
No nerfs!!!! Just stop calling for nerfs, christ you want buffs to other weapons instead.
-
I got smoked by it a ton this week in IB it’s crazy good ... so I’m gonna try to go get it for myself. I don’t think a nerf is the right response.
-
Yeah how dare you actually try to get better or try to get your own Luna’s . Nah, instead rock a mindbenders and a hammer head. Keep reaching little man.
