Wjy do people want old stuff? It was cool, but now it is old.
There are several awesome new sets.

- The new stuff introduced with and since Forsaken is mostly freaking hideous. - I don't want to look like we all walked out of the same cookie cutter. I'd rather walk around in Lost Pacific or Exodus Down than all the space-hobo or WoW-looking stuff they released.
-
I dont think its hideous... But, I guess thats why more variety is better.

Rose tinted glasses... remember when everyone complained about that armor?

This thing called personal preference. I personally only like a few of the year 2 sets, leaving me with little options, and I much prefer some of the year one sets.
-
I used to think this in D1, but now Im with OP.
-
I like some of the old and some of the new. Pretty sure an ornament/transmog system would satisfy everyone.
-
Trials is gone for good, but I want to rock my ornamented set and can't without sacrificing a heap of great perks.
-
Lol no

I want my old stuff useful again because I spent hours and hours grinding late into the nights to get the Faction Rally set as well as Master Working them. As for the new (Forsaken) armor sets, the Warlock sets look like garbage. Black Armory and Reverie sets are ok, but seriously I can’t make a decent armor set out of the designs they’ve put out. I’m always wearing hobo garbs because the best RNG Perks seem to come on the ugliest pieces.
...Its quiet...too quiet...
I dont have time to explain why I don't have time to explain

Old sets shouldn’t be left behind. I love some of the Nessus and other planets gear and would love to wear them in endgame content.
-
Exodus Down set makes your Warlock look like a sci-fi special agent.
-
I agree, no set left behind. Except they should be ornaments.

Edited by bandito--24: 3/2/2019 5:58:58 PMI like variety. Specifically, my hunter new monarchy/solstice gear and Titan EP gear.

I do like the EP sets. -
I was never a fan of the EP gear. It was so full of giant triangles.
Wjy do people want old stuff? It was cool, but now it is old. There are several awesome new sets.
I imagine it’s very straightforward. It’s because they’ve collected the new sets, looked at them and decided they preferred the look of the old stuff. Allowing older sets to accept new mods would increase player choice by creating a more aesthetically diverse pool of gear to choose from. Sounds like a good thing from here. -
I agree to a point. But, I do believe people would then complain about not having new content.

Add the new gear, just make sure the old stuff is still useful if people want to use it. Old and new should be able to co-exist. -
This sounds way too efficient.

Well, you remember the solstice armor and the EP armor sets? Those took a long time to get. It was an investment from a player perspective. Then they are obsolete, specially the solstice one, that was made obsolete a month later, and It was a truly real grind to get. It was really a slap in the face to the players. Then the drama with factions. Factions armor sets where really nice, but obsolete. The problem now is, if they don’t want to bring back the “old” stuff, that so many of us truly “grinded” the heck out of the game to get, then make better “new” looking gear. The gear now is hideous. All of them are hideous.

Still salty about that Solstice armor. No one expected that it would still be top tier stuff going forward but I never knew that it would become literal trash. They'll never get me back into Crucible again after that bs.

I like the scorched solstice armor for hunters. That was the gear I used for revenge. There are several really cool sets right now: Last Wish, SoTP, Iron Fellowship (except the absurd hunter cloak), Annealed, Gambit, most of the Vanguard armor, most of the Crucible set, Dragonfly Regalia, and even the latest Tess armor special. These are some really cool, unique sets. I do think the old stuff should be made available as ornaments.
