I can’t remember an exotic armour piece going back throughout the entire series that’s more OP in the crucible setting.
Man, I have heard this same comment for years from whining PvP crowd. There's always some piece of gear they need to blame their poor PvP experience on. Bungie should never nerf anything in this game.

Bah, players were whining about the Wormhusk Crown a few months ago saying the same thing. I'll take the pre-nerf Shinobu's Vow from Destiny 1 over it. I could rack up the kills like nothing else with that thing. The pissant whiners got that thing nerfed pretty fast. There were some others, but I can't remember their names. One for the Warlock gave me dual OHK sticky grenades that I could generate every 25 seconds. Damn, this just reminds me of how much better the gear was in Destiny 1. The One Eyed Mask is one of the few exotics that would fit in well with D1 stuff.

It’s better than the husk was even in its top tier state. They also do this stuff on purpose making sure players get the dlc stay on top of the curve. Same as the shin vows were released directly after they nerfed forebolts. Once that happens they release a worse exotic giving extended grenade tracking and two charges. Same thing here. Nerf last seasons highest tier gear and bring out worse stuff with the DLC. It’s the same cycle and one that won’t change.
