I never really focused on the catalyst in strikes...
So it is hard to say what to do.
I did, however, use the weapons in hopes that it would do something to speed up the drops.
I always pop a fire team medallion, I play with the gun that I want a masterwork for(I do not think it helps, but I got most by doing this), and I usually top the amount of kills in strikes.

The Prometheus lens is way too good in pve right now... if you do not have this one, I say go for it. It feels like a delete button.

Edited by HappyRogue: 1/11/2019 8:39:25 PMGood idea! I'll use Coldheart in the hopes the game will 'recognize' me searching for the catalyst. From the catalysts that drop in strikes, I have the Merciless catalyst so far. Have yet to try Prometheus lens to see how much fun it is.

Even on pvp.. I wanted the jade rabbit, put it on... went into a match and my first kill it dropped. Freak coincidence from hearing about everyone’s time... but was cool... Then, true story, was finishing up the jade rabbit with my intent on doing the vigilance wing.. it dropped the same match I finished my jade rabbit and switched to the vigilance. The only masterwork that dropped that I was not using said weapon was the wardcliff, but I did use it a lot. The Prometheus is just a tiny bit weaker than the wavesplitter, but does shares damage and reloads itself after a kill. Just an absolute pve beast for low level ad clearing like the forge etc
