We need a spectator mode for private matches !
Since Forsaken droped so many people think that the Gameplay is way better, they enjoy playing pvp and feel again some good vibes as at the time. I'm part of them! I'm also a small French Youtube content creator and also a caster for some little Overwatch Competitions. It's so awesome to see the motivation of the community about watching and organise some little non-professional tournament on OW.
And I think it could be possible to do it on Destiny 2 ! But how would we do it without a Spectator Mode ?
Having a good organisation is not an easy thing when willing to livestream it, you gotta be able to see each player's screen and build some commands to switch the point of view... Or you can go in the middle of the battlefield and embarrass the players during the fight.
So Bungie, could you please build an in game spectator mode ?
for example starting with a "choose your player view" and that's it!
And to go a little further, you can add a free camera mode or ghost view mode.. and many other good features. It will be awesome to be able to make some edit, roleplay or other great stuffs too.
I'm sure that the community would love to see this coming to the game, so I hope that you'll consider this message. If you're agree don't hesitate to upvote this ! There will be more chances for Bungie to see it !

It is already in the game. For example when you die in a strike or raid you can spectate teammates and cycle trough them. So it shouldnt be to difficult to add in.

Well not just that. Watching my friends duke it out in a 1v1 is always fun if I'm doing something else at the moment. Can't watch it unless someone is streaming which is a shame.

1 ReplyI've been wanting a viewer mode since Destiny 1. For the tournaments, we rely on the players to stream themselves, and our commenter then uses those streams to make the cast out of it. To show really high quality casts, we need a viewer mode.

I'd much rather have a theater and forge mode like Halo. I'd be an entirely new level of addicted to the game.

So what if everyone online from our Clans received a notification....Noiztm is about to get wrecked in a private Crucible match. Would you like to watch? If yes they get plopped into an area around the match, to watch. A social area of sort with crucible vendor type things.

What we need is individually selectable playlists that rotate weekly. Like D1 had the at the end of its life. We need more PvP modes. New ones and old ones, like Combined Arms, Rift or even the Inferno modifer. We need a return to the old scoring system in PvP where a kill was worth 100, and assist 50 and the score to win was in the higher thousands. We need.... machineguns. And luckily they are coming.

2 Repliesdidnt read your post, sorry, but i saw "spectator mode". have you tried having a 1v1, survival, 0 lives. 10 rounds. but with three players. 1 player dies(stays dead due to 0 lives) that player can watch the 1 v1 go down from his teammates 3rd person point of view or have a 4 v4 with mayhem but not allow supers the spectator goes in as a titan running bubble. the spectating titan can roam around the map and pop a bubble and be safe and not be confused for anther player. when my clan runs tourneys this is what we use to stream

4 RepliesEdited by Swift: 10/12/2018 8:27:21 PMPart of the problem is that the servers are P2P, so everyone loading in to spectate would also put a burden on the host and could screw up the connection. Also, because of ease of access with party chats/discord servers it would just turn into a giant cheat fest. It was a problem back in the day of CS1.2 onward and led to the demise. Would be cool to have a post game spectator/free roam mode to get cool footage and study gameplay - that would be a more realistic goal and less trolly/cheaty.

It’s a P2P game. Not sure you understand what that means. Literally impossible to make what you ask for. This is not Fortnite.

I peronally HATE pvp in forsaken and im not alone! and I for one dont want them to waste any time on it.... Until I see numbers that shows that at least 60% of the game population plays pvp outside of daily/weekly challenges then I dont want them to waste time and money on adding more modes to pvp that has the small population of the player base playing it... I mean there is twitch, youtube etc for this and its better for Bungie to promote people use those services as its marketing for them.
