Not following. What’s your point?

While I understand the benefits/necessity of certain timed bounties, I don’t understand why daily bounties are timed Daily Bounty - DAY = 24 Hours (Logic) Same as what Weekly Bounties are = 7 Days from the time you pick them up = (Logic) Solution Don't waste your glimmer on picking up bounties you know you cant complete
-
Actually, you’re arguing semantics that don’t work here. There are “daily” power engram activities but they last for 4 days. Not to mention the fact that D1 daily bounties were based on reset. Not a timer. So, your point is invalid. Thanks for the troll though.

I love the fact that as soon as someone gives input that someone doesn't like you are immediately a TROLL. how does my comment static basic facts make me a troll? I am stating Facts here. your Daily Bounties picked up from vendors etc - last 24 Hours from the time you pick them up. your weekly bounties picked up from vendors etc - last 7 days from the time you pick them up. the Daily challenges I could not agree more, it is Bungies problem for their lack of Transparency on that, as I would assume that their initial idea is to have the " Daily challenges" run over 4 Days with a "challenge to do each day". But this pertain Fact is that the bounties are given as an Option to you, no one is forcing you to take a bounty you can not complete, thus you determine the time spent on bounties. but who am I too argue. you are right I am wrong. I sincerely apologize.

Edited by LettN2MeC: 10/8/2018 11:57:55 AMFair enough. I apologize for my flippant response. Usually, a response like yours just boils down to “stop complaining and shut up” without providing anything useful to the conversation. If that wasn’t your intent, my bad. Now, while I understand your point, I still feel that it doesn’t allow agency. For instance, i don’t always know if I have time to complete them. The crucible grenade or melee kills are the ones that first come to mind. Depending on the class I’m on, it can be difficult to complete in a short amount of time that I have to play that day. But I often get 1 or 2 towards completion and by the time I get back on, that effort is gone. And if I just decided to avoid those bounties, then I miss out on the potential loot entirely. Minor loot, yes, but it’s an unnecessary loss imo. And yes there are work arounds to the current system, but why should there be a need for one if there is another option? I suppose I’m just curious as to why Bungie changed from D1 bounty format of indefinite bounties for this timer system. And if they could revert those changes to allow us to chose what we want to do when. At least for the minor bounties like these.

Shake my Hand: thank you for apologizing. I understand the frustration people go through on the forums as raising a valid concern is met with trolls and salt. I have my fair share of fun on the forums but this was just stating the mere facts. in my option, and this is coming from someone who averages 2 - 3 hours a day after work to relax, is that I personally do not engage in a bounty if I know I have no means / time to complete them. if the activity has weight around it for instance - Linked to Clan XP but its crucible I would stack the bounties from Crucible with the XP bounty to make my time spent more efficient. I can imagine the timer being there for automatically deleting the bounty if it does not complete avoiding you for having a filled up pursuit tab making it difficult to track, and giving you the sense of paranoia some experiences of not completing said tasks in said timelines. if you are running your Daily Challenges / Weekly Challenges / Tier - 1, whether it be crucible or strikes than stack those bounties together. as you will most likely end up completing them by the time you complete your Daily / Weekly challenges. 25 - mins a strike (inc Loading times) 12 - mins a crucible match (inc Loading times) you can complete those. the spider Bounties I will only do daily if I am short of glimmer, or leveling up a character like I am doing with my Titan.

To each their own, I suppose. I don’t like being limited in choices and would rather only have to worry about filling up the bounty page. As I said, it’s only a minor annoyance. If there were a better sorting option based on expiration time and another for game mode, it may be a bit easier. I think that may be my next post.
