they both use the same playstyle, who do you think would win a matchup?
edit: while I'm trending I'll educate you all on who shot uldren, because amazingly this entire forum tab doesn't know and thinks its up to the player to decide..
it was petra, if you want proof read the text when she gives you her vestian dynasty
2 RepliesThe is no definitive answer-
Petra says “This is the gun that- well you know” which can be finished with either “that killed Uldren” or “that couldn’t do the job” the whole point of the fade to black and the ambiguous sound is that the player decides what shot Uldren. There is no definitive answer
Devrim quite easily. One, he uses an iron sights sniper at moving targets. That days a lot about his aim and Two, he drinks tea. Tea and NLB for the win. Rifleman's "great" feat was to hit a stationary target (Ghost). And he doesn't drink tea.
-
1 ReplyDevrim, the biggest camper of all time.
-
It comes down to NLB vs. Queenbreakers
-
3 RepliesYou can hear both the Ace and Vestian go off at the same time, so both shot him.
-
1 ReplyDevrim has been in that church with his rifle for a year, whereas rifleman survived for at best 2 days in Destiny time after sniping caydes ghost, the winner is clear.
-
1 ReplyThe rifleman got owned on his second encounter. Like a scrub. Dev has been hanging out in that church since vanilla. But we never see him shoot.... yeah, Rifleman fanboys- you never see a good sniper shoot. That’s the point. Rifleman should have attended a few sessions at Dev’s sniper school, picked up some EDZ tokens, and purchased some talent. Maybe then he wouldn’t have been chewing on the business end of my sidearm.
-
Devrim uses the NLB in PvE, I think that speaks for itself
-
6 RepliesOne really has to wonder how in the hell Devrim is still alive at this point. The place is surrounded by Fallen, yet none of them have ever tried to bumrush the old man that's not only about 10 steps from them but also trapped in a corner if they ever tried? And then there's the Cabal. One drop pod on top of that church and he's done. As a matter of fact, a drop pod in that area was my very first death in this game.

My favorite moment in the whole game is when the spider was talking about the barons in the card cinematic. When he said to the rifleman was the only one who could have made the shot that mortalized Cayde, my friend was just blurted out, “wasn’t his ghost stationary?” I laughed for 2 min straight.

Edited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 9/11/2018 12:31:01 PMThe Riflemen just spews childish trash talk , and uses decoys and Scorn mobs. He only took out caydes ghost after a bunch of scorn distracted him Dev doesn't talk about his sniping, and stays in that tower alone keeping fallen and cabal at bay alone. Dev for the win
-
Riflemen he snipes ghosts and they are tiny and even if dev lands a bullet the riflemen is super tanky lol
-
Devin makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and safe. It takes all I can to leave him every time.
-
Obviously the rifleman would win, and obviously they both shot Uldren.
-
2 Replies
because Petra’s gun makes a loud BANG! Obviously your character shot, but so did Petra
-
Both of you shot uldren. You can hear both sound effects on top of each other
-
Edited by Nickel7Dime: 9/12/2018 12:26:55 AMThe riflemens aim sucks to be honest, he constantly misses you throughout the mission, and doesn’t even use an actual sniper, he uses some weird spread shot gun. In comparison the guy from the arms deal beats both of them with ease, that guy is a pretty darn good shot, and doesn’t miss all that much, even when his target is midair.
-
Never underestimate the power of tea. If the bullets can’t win a gun fight, bring tea. Always works.
-
3 RepliesWe both shot but she shot first. You can hear the distinct sound of both guns
-
I didn’t know I was such a big deal to the taken. One even gave itself a nickname after me 😆
-
Devrim hasn't shot once at all. Why should I think he could even try.
-
Your edit is wrong. The sound of the gunshot is clearly a combination of Ace and Vestian. And the screen goes black. The flavor text supports one option, should you choose to believe it.
the way I see it we both shot him. When my guardian vowed to get Uldren, he followed through. Petra has her own reason for pulling the trigger, but she did not act alone. For all I care, Uldren's body has two bullet holes.
Edited by Specimen_Seven: 9/11/2018 9:47:06 PMI mean, as far as we know Devrim is a fairly ordinary person with a rifle, a jacket, and a dashing personality. The rifleman is a wall-crawling, teleporting alien with a laser gun who can make dozens of fairly convincing moving decoys of himself and soak up a dozen grenades with his own teeth and thorax. Unless Kay has some incredible gear or skills we haven’t been privy to, things seem pretty stacked against him.

-
Devrim is useless. Never once saw him fire gun, probably doesn’t have any bullets
-
4 RepliesDev has been up in that tower for a year, aimed at enemies less than 50 feet away and has yet to take a shot.
