I could be wrong but once you acquire a piece of gear, generally it hits the loot pool. I was actually wondering myself this morning about quest related items (Rat King @was my initial thought).

I've never acquired this sword from collecting the 35 Latent Memories. I should of stated this before.

Nice score then Guardian, swing it well. I’d suggest still grabbing the fragments, kinda fun anyway.
