Redrix Clamour? Hmmm......
Is that the original owner of Redrix's Claymore?
As far as actual tips go, if you're not the greatest, and even if you are, you should play meta as much as possible, and try to never go in with less than a team of 3. Also, learn (at least basic)callouts and map positioning either through playing quickplay, watching other people's gameplay, or running around in private matches on your own.
I didn't do all of this myself, but still managed to grab one.
If you're using Graviton, use Antiope or New City.
If using V Wing, whatever energy SMG or 3-burst sidearm you prefer most. The 3 best SMGs in their categories are the IKELOS one(from EP), Hero's Burden(Iron Banner), and the MIDA Mini-Tool(EDZ main Quest).

Edited by FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 8/13/2018 6:05:35 PMFoggy notion is better than Hero’s burden because it does not have handicapped stability? Edit: Also I kinda don’t like vigilance wing so I use the Anvil autorifle with range spec and Last Hope.

Foggy has slightly more range due to Ricochet Rounds and Grave Robber. Hero's has more Stability because Threat Detector buffs that, Handling, and Reload a lot when it's active(which it should be because SMGs are CQC weapons). It was the highest range 900 RPM in Energy before, but Resonance-42 outranges it; as seen in this video: https://youtu.be/ljtWPGY4aL0 Foggy's not necessarily bad, just not the best. Plus if mapping people is the goal, New City has more range than both. But not as much as Antiope. If you like Grave Robber, then again, Royal Dispensation and IKELOS are more worth than Foggy. And Auto Rifles just aren't very competitive. You can do well with them, but they just don't compete well against good players. You'll be outsprayed by V Wing from close-mid range and SMGs up-close. Grav and Scouts will obviously beat you from mid-long. And a good Hand Cannon user(not that there are many) will beat you everytime via peekshots from close-mid playing cover. They're just very user-friendly weapons that are easy to pick up. They'll perform decently from everywhere other than long range, just not as well as other weapons with a more defined role.
Sorry, I meant to say that Hero's Burden not only has about the same range as Foggy Notion, but tiny bit more than Foggy Notion, and the big difference between them is that Hero's Burden has very low stability compared to Foggy Notion, and has to depend on a perk to make it accurate, but Foggy Notion does not have handicapped stability, and therefore performs much better than it, and the only reason you would want Hero's Burden is High Caliber rounds but still the weapon can barely kill somebody with the bad stability compared to Foggy Notion.
edit: Also precison auto rifles with range specs can out range v-wing and graviton because of superior range and dps, and also scout and hand cannons are not as competive as auto rifles because most of them are not powerful and fast enough when dealing damage from a distance.

Edited by DiZ: 8/15/2018 7:59:06 PMI don't think you understand how stats work on different weapon classes, or TTK numbers. A Precision Auto Rifle, even Orimund's with max Range, will never outrange or outDPS a V Wing due to anything other than player error. Purely because Pulses as a class have more Range than Autos. Precision ARs start damage dropoff at around 20-25 meters. V Wing starts dropoff at 45 meters. Graviton has no dropoff worth mentioning because it has borderline max Range and its second shot literally has no dropoff already. Auto Rifles do not outDPS either of the 2 weapons. That's just a fact. The numbers for TTK are available in multiple spreadsheets. V Wing kills in 0.83 seconds. Graviton kills in 1.00. All Auto Rifles(not counting max RoF Sweet Business or Spinning Up Suros) kill in more than 1 second. On paper, Foggy and Hero's have nearly the same range, but Foggy has more range than it because Ricochet Rounds is an invisible "Rangefinder" because it increases zoom. For example, the Jack Queen King 3 can have either Accurized Rounds or Ricochet Rounds. Accurized shows a bigger Range stat, but in reality, Ricochet has more Range. It's been proven in multiple videos. Foggy has better base stats than Hero's, but that doesn't matter because Hero's stats are secretly higher because of Threat Detector. It has less Stability at base, sure, but you really shouldn't be using it outside of ranges where Threat Detector isn't active(14 meters). Only SMGs that you'd want to shoot that far are the 600 RPMs(namely Antiope) and the IKELOS. You can't dismiss Hero's because its Stability(which is already decent) is only high because of Threat Detector. That's an intrinsic part of the gun. If Hero's is "barely killing somebody with the bad stability", that sounds more like a problem with the user than the gun. It has very little recoil at all within its intended range, where Threat Detector is always active. And in Comp., Threat Detector is almost required unless you're using Fighting Lion or Graviton, because there are no Kinetics with that perk, and it potentially means you know people are there, while they might be completely oblivious to your presence. If you don't believe any of what I said, you can go test damage dropoff in Private Matches with a DARCI like so many have already done before. And Hand Cannons aren't very competitive in their current state(on console at least), but far more viable than Auto Rifles. All I have to do is peekshot in and out of cover accurately and an Auto Rifle(and V Wing when not too far) will never beat me because not enough bullets are hitting me. And I'm saying that generally because Hand Cannons and Auto Rifles share nearly the same optimal range, but one is more rewarding while the other is just easier to use but not competitive in the slightest. I can do the same thing with a Scout Rifle from further out and even up close to Autos, V Wings, and though much harder, Gravitons. On PC Grav can be used at nearly any range(from what I've seen/heard) but on console, it starts to get issues with hit reg. from too far, where a good player with a Scout should beat it everytime, because it's still technically a Pulse Rifle. Though it behaves more like a Scout. If for whatever reason you still don't believe me, I guess I've wasted my time trying to help you. Auto Rifles are the worst guns in the game for being efficient in PvP. You will never see one in the hands, or probably even Inventory, of a good player when playing seriously. They're just very user-friendly weapons, but they don't do anything better than weapons with more defined roles. Even in PvE, their damage is lackluster. To close things out, here's a spreadsheet of TTK for every weapon class and archetype currently in the game: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_6zsM7kzvg0aUT8YtM_-Wg_5K1gKDOlrwfVzutEjq-s/htmlview Good luck grinding Claymore.

So sorry but I going to call this speculative bs.
-
In that case, I'm calling that you won't get Claymore, at least through normal/legitimate methods. But that's just speculative bs, right? I definitely didn't go through the trouble of listing 100% facts outside of the varying usability of Hero's Burden(or any gun in general really) between players, and even citing a source that disproves Auto Rifles being a top contender in any fashion outside of Exotics. I really wish you and I could go into Private Matches so I could show you the reality of how things work in this game, but we're on different platforms.

My intentions with that comment were really just so that I could show you the tests for everything first-hand, not to prove which of us is more skilled. But if you would've liked to actually play a match, I guess it's hypothetically possible. I can't take outright 1v1s seriously, so I'd probably play terribly due to lack of patience. Everyone has a chance to beat anyone, provided they can actually play against each other. Which isn't the case currently.

Sorry, but I said sorry, but you trying to help was good.

Quick step has been great to me
-
Quickstep is alright, but you'll get outranged by the IKELOS and Hero's Burden in Energy, and Antiope(obviously) in Kinetic. And up-close, Hero's will shred easily because of Threat Detector(which is great for no radar) and flinch you off-target since it has High-Cal. And the IKELOS will beat it if you're not hitting all headshots, which most don't or can't(provided how the engagement goes). I just don't see much use for Dynamic-Sway Reduction. The 2 best perks for SMGs are Threat Detector because it makes them a laser(or more of one) within intended ranges and gives you info in Comp., and Graverobber(depending on what class/setup you're using). If you can succeed with it, props to you. I just can't see any good players using it anytime soon if playing seriously. An alternative to Hero's is Royal Dispensation from New Monarchy. Same archetype, has High-Cal, but Graverobber instead. The IKELOS also has Graverobber if you choose to use it. But Threat Detector is just too valuable of a perk in no radar gamemodes to ignore if it happens to fit into what you're using.
