It's not that I need superior weapons to be good, it's that I choose not to use weaker weapons just to show how much of a cool kid I am. Do you do Heroic Strikes in blue at 300 ilvl just to show how much of a pro you are? If you're using legendary gear at an appropriate level because you damn well know it's better, you have no leg to stand on. Peope are using things that are better. It's common sense.

Uh. No lmao. In PvE there are a wide variety of weapons that are used. I've seen quite possibility every legendary weapon and exotic used while in strikes, nightfalls, and even raids. You CANNOT compare that to the small list of weapons that undeniably rule the PvP community, it's arrogant and ignorant to even say it is. There is no PvE Meta, people use everything and that's what's good about PvE modes. Player freedom, people aren't restricted to the same weapons as in PvP if they wish to overcome the opposition.
