Absolutely agree! I honestly hate this new format. I am also a solo player who is very experienced in pvp. I'm on top of the leader board more than half the time I play yet I can't rank up because of the randoms not playing as a team, afk, leaving early etc etc. This is completely unfair to those that are striving to get the great loot yet I honestly wanted to throw out the game after expeniencing loss after loss. Also being that I'm still at guardian rank and am a solo player, why is it that I'm still matching up against stacked fire teams of 4 with ranks 4 and 5 time after time. That is not ranked at all. How are you expected to combat stacked high ranking teams as a solo player?? Please help us out here bungie. This is making one of the best things about this game absolutely horrible.

it's so simple. this is not solo, if that were the case rumble would be the game to earn rank on. it is competitive, a team based effort and result. if you want success no matter how well you do a an individual, you need a proper team.

We understand your point of that is the way things are, however his point of this is the way things were in D1 makes more sense. Individual strength is frowned upon and stifled by gay game mechanics putting people down. I should be able to map people across a small room (legend of acrius range minus as high of impact) with my shotgun considering it has to compete with rockets but yet it doesn’t map people..... wonder why bungie? Teamplay should be encouraged but there should be more ways for a full group of people working in tandem to get destroyed. Just because your team can camp in a healing rift with gravitons/Vigilances doesn’t mean you have skill, quite the opposite actually it means you lack just about any sense Individual skill. Cannot tell you how many times I’ve done this with a healing rift in trials despite my own objections, and had gotten 3 or more people down in seconds with my team. It is absolutely disgusting and needs to change I actually feel bad for the people on the other end of the healing rift, mostly because I think anybody knows how it feels to be on the other end of that it needs to change. Individual strength will hopefully return in Forsaken. Granted the change of shotguns in secondary slots again could not be good as then we would have less primary play. I kinda don’t wan’t primary play to disappear kinda hope primary play has a sizable but not overpowering advantage over secondary and primary shotguns. I also hope they give power weapons that are shotguns, snipers, or grenade launchers decreased flinch under fire to have the advantage they should have over primary and secondary versions. Primary and secondary power weapons should have significant but not overpowering flinch under fire so then they have inherent disadvantages to compensate for the inherent strength they provide.

Either way you shouldn't be punished for doing well just because the randoms on your team are bad. Like he stated above, if you are doing well in competitive you should be rewarded for it and not de-reanked

how are you being punished for having bad team mates? did you win? yes, you gain, did you lose, then rank in loss. you are held to the same standard as everyone. going in depending on a random team gives you the worst case scenario for losing, you chose to do so, accept your loss with grace and move on. you want better odds form a team.
