If you ride the hype of Warmind you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

Ridin' the hype train! Drankin' Night Train! Like I'm goin' insane!
-
I paid for it, so I’m all aboard the train.
-
100% going to be another cash grab with little playable content and the rest locked behind Eververse. Bungie says their learning, we know that to not be true.
-
Truth.

once I am done with warmind, which should take about a day or two for me. I'll be gone. Destiny 2 really failed to live up to destiny. I wont bother with a TTK expansion for D2. It will just be more of the same

2 RepliesHype? We have no info other than a picture and a small digital store caption(atleast that i am aware of).

10 RepliesI'm going to be in the front of the line to buy it. Just because of this post.

2 RepliesEdited by Cyril: 4/12/2018 9:57:09 PMBy now, I don't think there's a lot of hype surrounding D2. Lots and loads of "premium" gamers have moved on, saying Bungie killed the franchise, the game was shite, then single handedly declared it clinically dead some time around November 2017. If you log in to D2 today and play a little, you quickly realize that D2 is no longer the popular choice. For the first time in the franchise's history Destiny has become an alternative to the more obviously hyped games like Fortnite, Mon Hun, PUBG, ARK, rather than the popular/mainstream choice. I also doubt that "premium" players even bought DLC1. None of my friends did. So it might well be that that "hype train" you speak of isn't that much of a thing as you make it out to be.

1 ReplyI'd agree. If you like this game, it is incremental improvements until September. I feel like September, the game will be what it SHOULD have been when it was released. Which is mind blowing how many steps back this game took in that it took a full year to get it back to D1 levels. I have totally been enjoying Rumble though, and the fact that there is a weapon I want that will take several NF attempts, elements of the fun Destiny are shining through IMO.

I've already bought Warmind. I will go into it with an open mind. And, in light of what's coming, maybe a bit of cautious optimism. But, I really do think that I will wait until all future DLC's are out and evaluated, before purchasing them.

I'm just hyped for private matches so me and some friends can screw around.

5 RepliesDestiny 2 as a game was a hype train, everyone had unrealistic expectations of it, which is part of the reason why the game is in such a bad state
-
2 RepliesI am not riding the hype train but the roadmap looks good especially September random rolls are back !!! but this should of been from day one so bungie need to make this free as all of this roadmaps till may should be free the next dlc after warmind should also be free as the community deserves something back from bungie for keeping their faith if not i definitely will not be paying for it lets hope bungie do the right thing.
-
Unfortunately they already got my money for this DLC... hence Bungie's lackluster attempts for improvements. Come this Sept... they'll have try real hard... to sell to folks. I'm going to be super entertained. Bungie will be begging on their knees... vs right now they don't give care in the world on what the player base wants.
-
3 RepliesThis will be the quietest dlc release by Bungie ever. Bungie know they have nooooooo chance of selling anyone to by a game or dlc for this dumpster fire of a game in its current state. The September DLC where they will need to beg and plead and over promise and market the living daylights to get people back, that will start in August. Be a little snippet every week, be a new article on something “cool” and improved everyday. You heard it here first... Spin foil hat engaged.

As someone who's been onboard since the PC release, I strangely find myself returning to D2 as my default game regardless of the other games that i've played that ostensibly do better than it, such as Phantasy Star Online 2 and Warframe. I enjoy the universe and sense of world that D2 has, regardless of how CoO has been very underwhelming and used in a very limited way given the potential for the infinite forest. As for Warmind, a few thoughts: 1. Given CoO, I'm not very excited for it; I'm not expecting much, and my dream update would expand the persistent universe more than this expansion appears to. 2. Following from #1, I think we should see progress; with the Traveler back on its feet, so to speak, in both D1 and D2, have the warriors of the city made any progress in pushing back the Vex, Fallen, Cabal, Taken, etc. In other words, I'd like to know how this next chapter and the actions of the community advance the return of the "golden age" Zavala speaks of at the end of the D2 campaign. 3. We know that the "darkness" is coming, as the end of the base D2 campaign makes clear; this expansion should make this impending event felt, I think, and the next few expansions and seasons of content should focus on resolving this conflict 4. As in Halo, we should see improvement of the universe over time. For example, the next expansion pack may have players move to different areas on Titan, Mercury, Earth, and so on as previous areas are suppressed, cleared, and made fit for human habitation once again, based on where the player is in the overall story of Destiny 2 as a way of fleshing out the universe and enabling the player to immerse themselves in the story that each planet tells.

I'm holding out hope tbh
-
Yay... another reason for Tess Eververse to lure our eyes to all the actually meaningful loot while bungie showcases reskins and exotics brought back from d1
