You’re working off of information with no actual connections here. Dead Orbit has mostly VEIST weaponry because it fits their dark, fatalistic aesthetic. The FWC has mostly Omolon weapons because it fits their sleek, futuristic design. New Monarchy has mostly Hakke guns because it fits their practical, more grounded look. It’s literally just aesthetic. We have no reason to believe that Dead Orbit has been cut off in any way whatsoever from the foundries. It’s just a matter of appearance.

  • I've asked questions and speculated. I don't think it's out of the question to notice that Dead Orbit has no overlap with any other faction and vice versa. Every other faction shares "tower" weaponry. Other factions share Omolon. No one gets Veist or Golden Age in the Tower except the gunsmith (but the gunsmith should have everything since he's the gunsmith)

  • Except your wrong? For instance, New Monarchy does not have any instances of Omolon weaponry, they exclusively use SUROS and Hakke guns, meaning that Omolon is only used by FWC. And I’ll bet money that’s true for the other foundries. VEIST is not uniquely exclusive, all of the other ones are. Like I said, they match the aesthetic of the faction. Dead Orbit hasn’t been excluded in any way, if they have they wouldn’t be an "equal" faction now would they? You’re grasping at straws. You have no concrete lore evidence that suggests this other than observations you’ve made on gun foundry data (which is apparently, wrong).

  • Um, no. Because Vanguard, Crucible both use Omolon weapons. Overlap. V, C, IB, NM, FWC all use "New Tower" weapons. Overlap. There is overlap with everyone except Dead Orbit. The gunsmith sells all weapon foundries. He doesn't count. So the only other place to get Veist is Asher Mir's Linear Fusion.

  • Oh, I guess I missed your point on exclusivity and misunderstood it. :/ My bad. That’s on me. But now that I understand (or at least think I do) keeping with that Omolon example, who can you get Omolon weapons from that isn’t the gunsmith or some one-off vendor like Asher? Because I either think I found another discrepancy or there is someone else and I just genuinely don’t know who it is. However, that still doesn’t prove in any way that Dead Orbit has some kind of "lower status" in regard to the other factions, or that they are the ones making the VEIST guns. From a purely lore standpoint, there doesn’t stand much reason for them to do that. Also, wouldn’t the Vanguard notice if a new weapon foundry popped up from a faction or something?

You can get Omolon from the Vanguard and Crucible. Positive Outlook is a good example. The Daedalus hand cannon, etc.

Except that he was assuming from a lore standpoint, Every other faction is getting new weapons and Tower foundry weapons, Dead orbit is now using old Golden age weapons and A new foundries weapon, Which also fits the concordats colors, just throwing that in there. Veist seems a bit fishy, to say the least. Lore can be a difficult Topic, right now there is no total answer that can be given, You can assume it's a coincidence, or you can enjoy the idea that something can be happening in the backround.

  • I also question if it is a coincidence during the 2016 dawning where the chest of lysanders "gift" was near dead orbit's station and under FWC room
