Oh so when he said Destiny 1 was comic book 0 meaning it helped introduce the world and some of the characters but is not technically cannon, yea that never happened? Sorry mate it did.

D1 is canon you idiot. You people are really digging deep into something that doesn’t exist. D1 is canon. It was said grimoire is folklore, but it’s still lore. NOTHING WAS RETCONNED. The comics were made by lazy writers who never did their research. In fact, discrepancies like this happen all the time in comics, movies, tv shows, etc. Lore still exists and is canon. However there is centuries worth of it and anything is open to have been exaggerated or misinterpreted. So yeah, it could be called folklore because it is generations upon generations of stories being told.

So they feel the writers have to meet their (personal) expectations, and not write the story they feel is best for the game.

It's all good, until you're told one story by a creator, creator leaves, then someone else comes in and says "Ya, I don't like that. Here, I say it happened this way." That doesn't work.

The LEAD WRITER specifically referred to the Grimior as folklore. And there are major plotline discrepancies from the Grimior to the new comics. So yes, the Grimior has been made folk lore and it has, in fact, been retconned.

Lore is the story as told by those who experienced an event. Folklore is a story told by people generations after the event occurred. There's a difference. The new comics/story deviates from the Grimior. Therefore, the Grimior has been retconned.
