Definitely the modern. Tac rails are very useful nowadays. And extra range is good too.
Btw, what's your loadout? Are you just starting? I can give you some tips if you want!

Yeah I'm just starting. This would be my first AEG. I've currently got a shotgun, two pistols and a tactical vest.

Nice! What shotgun and pistols? I've been looking for a decent shotgun actually. Think it'll be fun for cqc
-
The shotgun and a pistol came in ~$30 set with 2500 rounds. Their both spring powered. The shotgun goes at about 350 fps, the pistol is around 200 fps.

Aw ok. I've been doing this for a while, and have been able to buy some quality gear and it is worth it. I remember starting with about the same gear as you years ago, setting up games in backyards lol. I see that you haven't been to a game yet. Remember, these things can hurt and even injure you if you get hit......so I recommend getting some decent body/arm protection, cause these things can hurt if they hot skin. I'd also recommend a face mask, or goggles and a bandanna, along with head protection and a neck wrap. Oh, and gloves will absolutely save your hands if they get hit. Anyways, good luck with your purchase, and I hope you enjoy the gun and this hobby! If you really get in to it, you'll find yourself getting addicted to buying new guns all the time!(talking from experience lol)

Thanks a lot! Is a plate carrier worth the money? If you ever need a new helmet/facemask I found this guy on etsy that makes air soft quality star wars and titan fall helmets and face masks. Where do you shop for equipment?

Where do you shop for equipment?[/quote] A plate carrier is worth it if you plan on bringing a whole lot of ar sized mags with you, along with some pistol mags. they're actually pretty good for most setups. I would only advise against them for sniper setups, as sniper mags are almost always smaller and can fit in a pouch belt, which weighs less. I'll admit, a star wars or Titanfall airsoft helm would be amazing! I'll have to look that guy up for sure And to answer your question, I mostly use evike for weapons, ammo, and accessories. They have decent prices, with some good occasional sales, and their shipping is fairly good. Takes about 1-2 weeks for me to get my package. For uniform gear, I use a local military surplus store for boots, socks, pants etc.

Thanks even more! I like evike, I want to get a box of awesomeness sometime. MasterLemansStore is the mask guy.

And yeah, good luck getting a box of awesomeness........I've tried for a few years and they always sell out before I can get one..I've been wanting one for a while, just for that whole randomness of it...and because it's more guns to add to my collection lol
