Remember, whether Trump colluded with Russia and whether or not Russia interfered are two separate issues. Our intelligence agencies believe Russia interfered and these sanctions were passed in an almost unilateral vote as a means of punishing them for that, as we should. Furthermore, many powerful figures have said they fully expect Russia to interfere again. Are we supposed to just be complicit with the fact that Trump is going to show his belly to Russia at every turn? Are we supposed to ceaselessly acquiesce to Russia now?
