Is eververse actually gambling?I mean like when you get a loot box no matter what you get stuff unlike when you play a game with gambling like blackjack where if you lose you lose money and you win you win money. (sorry about my grammar my phone is complete shit)

It’s not gambling, you are guaranteed an item from the loot pool. You might not get what you want but that’s irrelevant, that’s how life is sometimes.
-
It's "gambling" in the fact that it's a game of chance. If we could pick the reward, it would be different.
-
No, that would be shopping.

So I guess Slot machines aren't gambling as well, since your average payout is pretty much the same money that you put in in the first place. They both use the same formula to keep the players hooked. They give you a token to use, in the hopes of trapping you inside a bubble so you spend even more. That's how Slot machines work, and the Eververse is incredibly similar to them. Why do you think we get Bright Engrams on level ups? That's my reason for calling it gambling. You might not agree, and that's fine. If you want a more detailed description of what I perceive as gambling, check my response to him.
KUPO!!!™
Slot machines are gambling because there is a chance you will get nothing. Bright engrams don’t do that, it’s no risk and guaranteed reward. You will always “win”.

Edited by Death_by_Mukbang: 12/30/2017 12:52:59 PMBy winning I mean you always get a reward, even if it’s not what you want. I play a slot machine, I want to hit the 1 million dollar jackpot. Odds are not in my favor but there’s still a chance to hit the jackpot. Now let’s say I’m guaranteed to win something every single time even if it’s no jackpot, not what I want but technically still a win. It’s no jackpot but you always get something. If you remove the risk and give a reward every time no matter what it is, there’s no gamble involved. Make sense cupcake?

Let's go with slot machines as an example. Let's say that the exotic ghosts are the jackpots in each of these machines, and legendary ghosts are more of the average payout. Those are what you'll be getting the majority of the time. The chances of you hitting the jackpot is extremely slim, but just barely out of reach. But it gives you a consolation prize, in other words, a legendary ghost. In the hopes of you finally getting that exotic ghost. By now, they've managed to trap you in a bubble, and caused you to spend even more money on these Bright Engrams. The point is. Slot machines does the same thing, where they give consolation prizes to get people to continue playing, which then ends up trapping the players in a bubble. If Slot machines are gambling, then loot boxes should be considered gambling as well, since they both use the same formula to trap players in their bubble. This is how I see it though.
