I never quit. The only way I would quit a match is if a real life emergency popped up. Otherwise I man-up and finish the match regardless of the in game circumstances that may be frustrating me.

Explain why? It's a video game, it's about fun. Let's say you are getting spawn trapped by a 4 stack... with absolutely no hope of winning. What difference does it make if you quit? Except being able to find an enjoyable match sooner.

Except you just ruined someone else's day. Some one gets dropped mid game in to a shit show, your remaining teammates went from a difficult game to almost impossible. And the worst part is these "4 man stacks" aren't even good half the time. If people actually played without quitting, they wouldn't win so many games. It is a really dumb feedback loop where people assume the game is lost so they leave. Then by leaving they have guaranteed that they will lose.

If I spawn in against a 4 stack of 3.0 kd players and Insta die of spawn 5 times in a row I'm just going to quit because there's no point. The more people quit, the faster horribly mismatched and unfun games go to mercy and they can move on to trying to have fun. Then again I haven't played D2 in quite a while... because the PvP isn't enjoyable if you win or lose...

I'll give you that, it's like pulling teeth getting the competitive wins for the head ornament. Countdown has to be the most poorly designed game modes I've played in a long time. Can't stand it.

I think quitting in comp is different though.... going into comp you should expect to see full teams. Hell, I won't play comp because I don't have a team. Comp SHOULD have SBMM or rank based MM to prevent severe mismatches and keep games competitive. I was talking about quickplay, when I want to play casual low intensity pvp and spawn into a game against Johnny vapes'alot and the Ballsweat brigade in a 4 stack of top 1% players who exclusively pub stomp and spawn trap. I'm gonna quit. Especially if I continue matching them, and my teammates are the equivalent of a geriatric meerkat with cerebral palsy high on opiates.... The nolifers that feel good because they run stacked in quickplay are disgusting, and I'm not going to pad their stats

Yeah, I see your point. Especially if you're just trying to have a good time. I just try to remember that the four man teams are also probably looking to have a good time. The competitive game modes are not very enjoyable and it's not their fault there's no real matchmaking. It's probably some awful form of masochism, but I enjoy playing with bad teammates. When I look at the scoreboard and I'm the only one with k+a/d over 2.0, I don't care that I lost. I got that score dragging my deadweight team across the finish line. It feels even better when we win. There's no "I" in team, but there is one in "Carried".

I once played a team that had several hundred matches played TOGETHER. without ever setting foot In comp/trials. All top 0.1% It's gross
