Rumble is not a good idea with the longish kill times of D2. The game is balanced towards team work in PvP, at least more than it was in D1. I think in order to make Rumble possible, there needs to be reduced cooldowns and kill times across the board.
The same explanation goes for 6v6 I think. I think 6v6 would be far too oppressive with teamfire, even more so than 4v1 is already.

I disagree, 1v1s end more than quick enough in normal games to be viable in rumble. Still faster TTK than halo which had rumble.

Halo had grenades on Respawn and from kills. Idk. I think the TTK in Halo was increased after launch, IIRC.

i am thinking of halo 3 specifically. you are probably thinking of 5 which i have never played.

2. But it doesn't matter.

Yeah true, their choice to focus on teamwork and balance changed PvP a lot compared to Destiny 1. They could've at least had private matches at launch though, it'd definitely keep a decent amount of players on this game.

Weren't private matches aimed at competitive play in tournaments, etc? I don't think the majority of people have any reason to do it.
