Rumble is not a good idea with the longish kill times of D2. The game is balanced towards team work in PvP, at least more than it was in D1. I think in order to make Rumble possible, there needs to be reduced cooldowns and kill times across the board. The same explanation goes for 6v6 I think. I think 6v6 would be far too oppressive with teamfire, even more so than 4v1 is already.

  • I disagree, 1v1s end more than quick enough in normal games to be viable in rumble. Still faster TTK than halo which had rumble.

  • Halo had grenades on Respawn and from kills. Idk. I think the TTK in Halo was increased after launch, IIRC.

    Yeah true, their choice to focus on teamwork and balance changed PvP a lot compared to Destiny 1. They could've at least had private matches at launch though, it'd definitely keep a decent amount of players on this game.

  • Weren't private matches aimed at competitive play in tournaments, etc? I don't think the majority of people have any reason to do it.
